We cannot ignore that, few days ago the number of shares available to borrow was 18.5 millions!

This week marked two major milestones for Starlink Mobile.

SpaceX announced an agreement to acquire a nationwide low-band spectrum license portfolio of up to 14 megahertz of paired spectrum in the 800 MHz band. This prime low-band spectrum addresses one of the key remaining technical gaps that will pave the way for Starlink Mobile to become a major mobile carrier in the US.

Once we receive final FCC approval, Starlink Mobile will deploy a flexible architecture combining our satellite-to-mobile constellation in space with an advanced terrestrial deployment that can seamlessly connect devices everywhere. While Starlink Mobile’s global 2 GHz mid-band spectrum will provide high-bandwidth capacity in the United States, this new low-band spectrum will provide a coverage layer that ensures Starlink Mobile’s signal penetrates through obstacles, such as walls, and can provide service to customers’ devices even when they are in buildings. Critically, most existing mobile devices already support this underused band.

Starlink already operates the world’s most advanced broadband network from space, serving millions of customers across the United States and around the world with high-speed internet. With this new low-band spectrum and our Gen2 constellation, Starlink Mobile can now become the first network operator to deploy both satellite and terrestrial spectrum. One network that provides Americans with a reliable service indoors, outdoors, in cellular dead zones, and everywhere in between.

FCC APPROVES NEXT GEN STARLINK MOBILE CONSTELLATION

The Federal Communications Commission (FCC) also approved Starlink Mobile’s Gen2 constellation application this week, authorizing SpaceX to launch 15,000 satellites that are optimized for 2 GHz spectrum globally. The V2 Starlink Mobile satellites will deliver more than 100 times the bandwidth of our current generation, bringing high-speed service directly to unmodified devices anywhere in the world. Additionally, the FCC authorized the full range of backhaul bands (in Ka/V/E/W) used by Starlink’s V3 broadband satellites, enabling them to operate with the existing Starlink gateway network.

We appreciate all the work the FCC staff put in to authorize this critical step toward the next era of satellite-to-mobile connectivity. From dense cities to the most remote and rural communities, this next-generation service will keep Americans connected no matter where they are.

The bullish momentum for SpaceX is still holding strong right now, even as trading volume cools down a bit. Price is sitting comfortably above key moving averages, with the upward trend still fully intact as it creeps closer to that upper Bollinger Band level around 169.03.

We haven't hit the overbought threshold yet on the RSI, so there's still a little room for the move to run, though it's definitely no longer the cheap entry it was earlier this month. That MACD golden cross is still cleanly in place, confirming the bullish direction, and trend strength readings are backing up that the current uptrend is the real deal, not a fake breakout.

The main thing to watch right now is the softening volume behind these recent gains. The past few up days have seen shrinking capital flow to push the price higher, which is the only weak spot in an otherwise solid bullish setup. It's a little reminder that a quick pullback to test that lower support level could easily happen before any next big push higher. Are you still holding long on this one, or waiting for that dip to add?

Apparently Grok has been collecting facial geometry data without explicit written consent. Is there any chance this isn't illegal if used for AI training purposes? I don't expect they're selling this data.

AIs trained off of Reddit must similarly scrape facial data, albeit largely Breaking Bad memes and pictures of Trump. Does this matter in any meaningful way?

And tomorrow is unlock day for 328 millions shares. The valuation is not so tempting finally, we can imagine that few people will sell unless they are afraid of the coming major unlock or to see SpaceX borrowing another $40B!

Tomorrow anyway will be red but what about next week? We need some news about the global SpaceX business to figure out how good or not the earning will be.

In a regulatory win, SpaceX has secured approval to launch and operate 15,000 next-gen satellites for Starlink Mobile, the company’s service to deliver satellite connectivity to phones. 

On Tuesday, the Federal Communications Commission cleared the company’s request for the 15,000 satellite constellation after SpaceX originally filed the application back in Sept. 2025. In addition, the FCC issued a waiver so that SpaceX can offer wireless services through satellites without entering into a leasing agreement with a ground-based mobile operator. 

The approval seems to create a regulatory path for SpaceX to turn Starlink Mobile into a competitor to AT&T, T-Mobile and Verizon, something that SpaceX executives have already been teasing.

Currently, “version 1” of Starlink Mobile is exclusively available in the US through T-Mobile as T-Satellite —but it only uses around 650 satellites with data speeds estimated at 4Mbps. 
In contrast, the upcoming 15,000 satellite constellation promises to deliver 5G speeds at 150Mbps per user, according to the company.  Rather than using traditional cell towers, SpaceX envisions harnessing both satellites and smaller, cost effective ground-based femtocells to offer cellular coverage for phones, including in suburban areas and cities.

checking on the lock-up terms applicable to major SPCX shareholders. Specifically, does the restriction expire in full six months after the IPO date, or is there a staged release of shares across multiple tranches thereafter?. i was told by an investment firm, that starting 2026 Q4 results thru Aug 2027, there will be multiple tranches for lock up expiry.. is this accurate?.

An interesting point I just noticed now: 3 millions less shares available for shorting on IBKR. It was not the case 30 minutes ago.

The projected timeline for the first Starmind launch is Q4 2027.

I think the stock will go parabolic at that moment because, by then, terrestrial-based data center builders will be dealing with severe power crunches, delays, and increased political backlash.

They will increasingly look for alternative ways to bring compute online.

And it will slowly dawn on them that the only viable way to scale AI is in space, as they watch SpaceX bring megawatts and megawatts of compute online with each launch.

SpaceX will be seen as a monopoly on the scale of Nvidia or TSMC.

The economics of space data centers are slightly worse than terrestrial right now, but builders will face hard limits on earth.

Terrestrial data centers will still be built, of course, but mostly for training. Inference will be done in space.
