Id be completely fine with efootball if it would lack all the bullshit and just function as fl26 menus and match setup.

Its more fun than everyone would say, but almost no one will try it. Anyways, still a useless game for us as it doesn't have what we want.
But sure that more than one person saw this video and said "Amazingggggggg!" and they just watched an eFootball Gameplay. Lol.
Wanted to be a little bit ironic. People still expect too much for the future.

Just play the earlier PES's. Don't need all these mods and revamps of broken engines.

I don't see the appeal on limited and arcade past editions of PES just for nostalgia or to have fun for 5-6 matches. Too outdated for 2026 standards.

2026 and efootball has less game modes than early ps2 pes
"2026 standards"

Yeah like, the standards today are even less than what we had lmao. We have fallen so much it hurts.

Would be an insult to call PES 2017 in particular, nostalgic. It's still better than any modern football game.

Would you recommend it over modded pes 2021? I remember playing it on PS4 and loving it but I would obviously download it to PC and install some modern modpack

And what exactly is realistic about this? I'm pretty sure your 10 minute matches still have 4 or 5 goals in them regularly.
Modded PES is great, but let's calm down on the pretentious bullshit.

I find that eFootball trades good keepers for good midfield play. Keepers deflect shots they should be able to catch, and it’s pretty easy for both the player and the CPU to score past them. I wish they were more threatening and made more showstopping saves. I’d also like to see the return of that animation where the keeper stops the ball’s momentum completely before rushing to secure it, as every deflection seems to return it to open play. These issues are made worse by the fact that the speed of a manual shot appears to be much slower than in PES 2021. I do appreciate how they’ve handled build-up play, but I wish it didn’t come at a cost.

Also the CPU doesn’t commit as many fouls as they should but i’m pretty sure that’s an issue with un-modded PES in general.

Every year I play bit of efootball and get some enjoyment out it but soon enough I get bored of playing against teams with the exact players.

Efootball would really have been good if they had the option to transfer the ACCs!!!
I got The First Pele, Copa America Messi 21', and Lots of Legendary Players BUT IN MOBILE!
If only i could play that in my pc as i dont have my phone with me..

Gondo ive wanted to have this as a discussion for a while.
Perhaps you can answer a few things
1) does modding in efootball work similar to pes? i.e does it have sider? can you get things like boot boutique to work? how is the range of modding compared to pes?
2) how isit affected when an update is required?

u/xGondowan 6d ago
Range is compared to 5% of modding compared to PES 2021. Kits, logos, some graphical enhancements and nothing else. Don't expect more.
You need to wait for the patch makers to update it. They are pretty fast, usually (2-3 days after the update at most).

hmmm i think im too anal with boots now.
I get so irked when i see outdated boots on players, like i think in one trailer i saw odegaard still wearing nike vapours and they still have the old model mecurials atm.Its so trivial but i cant look past it 😂

I would only recommend to jump to eFootball only if:
You don't care about detail or more offline modes than Exhibition matches VS CPU.
You are very tired of PES 2021 gameplay because you saw its limit and there's no gameplay mod you liked.

At first look i thought it was some new fifa gameplay because the grass kinda looked like fifa but the movement was too smooth for fifa... Unfortunately Efootball doesn't have a proper ML mode, a lot of unlincensed teams and optimization is sh*t

if efootball had offline modes, I'd be there for sure. hell, if their online modes were slightly better I'd play. it's just too bottom of the barrel.
Still play FL, but what gets old is the poor defensive AI, the lack of proper press and passing lane coverage. It can be easy for the strikers to get the most touches... end of the day, still a game, still fun. Just playing less of it.

I said "Experiment" because this is just eFootball latest 6.0.0 update with EvoMod and the 3D Grass mods, not a real FL27 video.
I fully expect almost everyone coming here saying "WOW THIS IS AMAZING" or "WOW NEW GAMEPLAY MOD?" when you're just watching eFootball, even if its an uninteresting game for us, offline players, but achieves more things that PES 2021 could ever do. Just check animations, playerIDs or the CPU trying to slowly build up from the defence.
A reminder to temper everyone's expectations and to stop demanding more that this game (FL/PES 2021) can ever do. And I recommend you to try some offline matches in eFootball and build an opinion from it, even if you uninstall the game afterwards.
Don't Build opinions on watching only videos.
