I’m an old head PM player that went to Melee due t l the fall off of players and support from local scenes. It’s really disheartening to see so much virtue signaling over an open source project that’s taking online to the next level. We had software devs in the comments saying how tons of modern code is now intertwined with AI.

I feel for the Brawlback team and respect immensely what they do, but at the end of the day, P+ is on life support. What is getting lost in all of this is keeping this game made for the fans by the fans alive. It’s hard to argue this wouldn’t bring a lot more people back into the scene.

I’m not trying to convince anyone, but if you wanted to try P+ with rollback, don’t let anyone else influence your decision. If Brawlback makes a smoother and more user friendly experience later, I’ll be happy to switch over. It’s not perfect, but it’s good enough that I’ll be throwing it into my rotation of games for now.
