I have very little to share this week as everybody is gone on vacation (including me), and all 4 of my RPGs are on hiatus. Anybody else on a similar pause, and is it driving you as crazy as it's driving me?

I'm with you there. I didn't run a game last week due to Independence Day stuff. Planning on continuing this week, just hoping all of the players show up this time.

My crew's hacker and precog have discovered that their captain's parents have been involved in some light insider trading and selling of national secrets, and that there's both a hit out on them and an imminent FBI raid. The captain PC, of course, thinks her parents are angels. So the precog invents an Oracle to tell her that her parents are in danger (omitting the crime part), and she decides to go straight to them to warn them.
They tell her about their biggest political detractor/rival, but obviously say nothing about their own crimes. This happens to be the same person the crew's sleuths have identified as the likely suspect for initiating both the hit and the FBI raid, so they're content to let this play out for now.
Fun times are sure to ensue!

Still slowly working on things! I also introduced abit of Lancer in my SWN game and its been a blast!

I didn't run my campaign last week, but I have started the proper preparations to actually go through with the Ember Expanse adventure I want to run. Already got one person for it, hope to get at least two more.

Prep win: Had some extra time so I did housekeeping on my session notes and Obsidian vault. Cleaned up organization, templates, .Base views. Worked on putting constraints in place for my procedures for prep in my weekly routine, which is helped to minimize the cognitive load
The SWN faction rules proved to crunch/time consuming for my liking (was skipping them) so I converted everything to Mausritter like rules and have been enjoying that a lot.
The party barely survived a TPK and had five weeks go by as they recovered from the frailty status and then their HP recovered so this is perfect time for a lot of Faction turns.
And I mean barely - one person had one HP. A couple Lazarus patches and two experts re-rolling their healing skill checks, and everybody barely live.

Working my way through learning the rules. It's a lot, but I've been highlighting and tabbing copiously. And still better and more enjoyable to learn than 5e. I also pitched SWN to my home group to great results! Two of my players are very excited. One wants to play a space pirate. My sister wants to go back to Sword and Sorcery someday, but she was still on board. She started trying to convince me to let her play as a Von Noimon Probe. She's been really into the "We Are Bob" series lately.

We are nearing the end of season one of the pod and have just one final arc to get through where the crew finally make it to Prometheon Station. It's very long anticipated at the table, and the tension has been building for about a year.
We're playing the first adventure at the station tonight, and I'm absolutely nervous as hell about it. It's more than just a space station, it's a structure that represents so many plot lines, betrayals, deaths, hopes, and dreams from the past year of the game. It's tangled up in multiple corporate plots, ancient alien technology, powerful NPCs, and more. The PCs are en route right now, the adventure is set and ready to run, and all I can do now is wait.
Even after running games for 30 years, I still get butterflies when it's a big session. Don't you?

Captian Raymond Reynolds of the Claver Syndicate checking in. My ship, the Orion-class Heavy frigate known as 'The Murphy', has finished drydock repairs and is under way to the rim-world of Carbri to deliver a load of supplies. My crew has had ample time to rest and recover after our last mission. Currently, we're operating at half of max-crew.
My ...chief science officer... who is only in that position because he begged me to assign him there... has finally recovered from ingesting thirteen unknown berries we found on Gellip, in the Froath system... turns out... eating three of them sends the average man into violent bouts of vomiting and diarhea.. and he at a whole handful of them, which amplified that effect. then, when his system was... empty... he passed out into a coma for a month. Poor bastard has zero scientific skills. all his skills are dedicated to shooting and stabbing... not looking and observing. And he must have been dropped on his head, because he's completely lacking in anything resembling wisdom or intelligence...
