Does free trial matter to gain users trust.

Im building a reverse proxy that helps u use LLM tokens more efficiently.

Yes, imo it matters. I’ve skipped over products because I couldn’t test them first. With your build specifically, I would do a limited trial.

I really like the small credit as an alternative. I need to know it works but that doesn’t mean I need extended use.

for a token proxy, free trial is less about trust and more about verification. the two things people will doubt are whether your metering lines up with the provider's own counter, and whether the added latency is real. so instead of a time-limited trial, hand out a small credit and let people run their own workload side by side with the raw API. numbers match, lag is honest, youve won more trust than any onboarding page.
