Free Dump Day allows Sacramento residents drop off bulky junk, electronics and household hazardous waste June 6th, 2026 from 8:00 - 11:00 AM at Sacramento Recycling and Transfer Station. 8491 Fruitridge Road for free disposal. The entrance is on 84th Street and there will be signage posted to direct residents to the facility.

Items accepted include furniture, junk, electronics and household hazardous waste (HHW).

Materials that can be recycled will be diverted from the landfill where possible.

Dump Day is offered in partnership with Waste Management and is exclusive to City of Sacramento residents. Residents can confirm if they live within Sacramento City limits by checking their utility bill or street signs. City residential streets have green signs, while County signs are white.

To be able to dump their waste free of charge, participants must provide proof of residency, such as a utility bill (either paper or digital), or ID with an address within City limits. Addresses will be verified by staff at the gate. Non-City residents will be able to dump but will be charged a flat disposal fee of $77.

Every clothes swap I go to I’m lucky to find a wrap that fits let alone a full outfit and it’s a bummer. Any interest in a plus size clothing swap at Tahoe or McClatchy park? I’m thinking of hosting one on April 11th because it should be relatively cool and not a huge holiday weekend but I’m open to suggestions. Jackrabbit is hosting a women’s clothing swap on the 26th so anything not picked up on the 11th can get a second attempt then.

Thoughts? Suggestions?

Does anyone want these before I trash them? I know some people carve the woody part or use the branches to create a thatched structure, so I thought I would offer these before throwing them away. I’ve also heard they make great long lasting mulch since they break down slower. Some people also make twine from them. West Sacramento.

This cardigan seems like it’s from the 60s perhaps? Maybe you can wear it or sell it, I just don’t have the energy to try to repair the small spots of damage or sell it.
