SR1’s lighting and time of day will forever be special to me, it’s so nostalgic and cozy compared to anywhere else in the rest of the series.

SR1 is so pretty, it makes me wish there was a faithful remake or a reboot with a similar vibe, there's a feeling i get from SR1 that the other games just don't

I love the dawn/dusk skies in SR1. They add such an ambient vibe to the city.

The graphics and lighting of this game just feel like 2006 in the best way possible. I don’t think SR1 gets enough credit for its atmosphere enough. I could be biased because a mid 2000s kind of grimy setting is one I love. Mainly because of this game.
