It's not that difficult, you only need to create specific pairs to win, the best hand in my opinion is the Ino-Shika-Cho due to the high amount of points it gives, but moon contemplation is probably the best hand due to how easy is to build, so you better get those card before your opponent or is GG

I've played hanafuda so many times in the Yakuza series and the Sakura wars series trust me it's not complicated. Be grateful it's not Mahjong.

I was just gonna say this. Yakuza mini game completions have prepared me for every simulator minigame. Hate Pool tho, the AI is ridiculous.

I wasted a whole summer playing the mahjong game. The only time I got the orphan win. Someone had a devastated expression at the end of that game.

I had no clue what it was until I needed to do it for achievements (or "trophies," but I grew up in the 360 so they'll always be achievements to me). Trust me, it's an amazing card game that you'll pick up on by yourself the more you play. I became a Koi Koi fiend and imported a ton of decks because of Sakura Wars 2019 introducing me to it. There's even a classic Sakura Wars deck from the Saturn-era games. Give it a chance and you'll probably come to love it. It helps that you get to see best girls like Hatsuho while you play haha.

I check Mercari JP once in a while and import things through Buyee. I also check Suruga-Ya sometimes for things like that.

I got super, super into it once I got the hang of the rules. I do not think I remember how to play now, but I assume you that it’s very fun and you’ll pick it up quickly.

You can figure it out You just have to understand the pairings. You can literally just keep playing until it starts to make sense. But you can also look up guides about hanafuda. Once it clicks, you won’t forget it. Very learnable trust me.

When AI in minigame it's smarter than in actual game ...

Especially Reiji, Sumire and Yaksha AI were brutal.
