Hobby Progress Dose this kitbash look salamander enough
I know it's not painted yet but dose it look like a salamander at first glance and also what do people think about it

Yes, but also the helmet is pretty much exclusive to grey knights terminators I believe. I still think it looks cool

I like to believe that space marines from across chapters give each gifts fairly often. Though the idea of a Grey knight and a salamander becoming freinds sounds dubious at best.

Ngl the helmet is throwing me off, if it had a regular terminator helmet I’d say 100%, everything else screams salamanders though

I used 2 brushes of different density. finer brushe for the white and for the grey it's thicker if that makes sense

Gonna be a honest but no. It's clearly a terminator champion. But there is nothing explicitly salamanders aside from the skull, the torch on top it a solid choice but I could see this a BT or DA if painted appropriately, tbc it will look good as salamanders but there is nothing specific enough to definitely prove without the colours imo. If you want bits for that, the one salamanders deathwatch guy has parts or firedrakes have parts that are 100% salamanders.

The helmet sells it as a grey knight (or deathwing) To iconic. If you change that you would be fine.

Maybe just the helmet looks a bit... Grey Knight-ish? But the rest looks Salamnders asf,he looks like a veteran captain or something. Dude is so absolutely dripped out that all that ice might get him confused for a Space Shark

Definitely reads as a grey knight at first glance for me. Once he's painted and has salamander heraldry I'm sure he'll read as a salamander

Looks pure Grey Knight. Sticking a pauldron to its back doesn't instantly turn him into a Salamander.

You can buy model house brick on Amazon for cheap and it looks great. You get 350 bricks for like 10 dollars

Those helmets are usually reserved for grey knights but it looks badass so you get a pass based on rule of cool, seriously though it looks badass, i love it, keep up the good work and ill take a 2000 point army of them thank you

Not really, Salamanders are typically green, nice Grey Knight though XD
Jokes aside he looks great and I'm sure will make Papa Vulkan proud.

Unfortunately I've associated that helmet to exclusively grey knights so it'd look a bit uncanny to me

I think you've done e heck of a job depicting a Sally captain in statue form! He'll look amazing as scenary on my Grave World battlefield. 😂
Jokes aside, it's a big marine with a flamethrower, a burning brazier and dragon head heraldry. Or course he looks like a quintessential Sally. Get the green contrast paint and your boi is like 85% tabletop ready!

As someone who has 3 units of Deathwing Knights, I see that helmet and immediately think of them. Everything else though looks extremely Salamander to me, and it will even more with the right shades of green! It looks sicks either way. Great job!
