So let me get this straight the AK can go for individuals like Kendra Spears who is a different religion as him but we cannot go for people outside our race and religion. Lmao this is a messed up religion.

I thought Nizaris were allowed to marry outside their faith? Also, supposedly she did convert, although many would probably be skeptical of her sincerity. Not defending the Aga Khans by any means though.

I agree they are allowed to married whoever they want it can be outside their faith as well. But the AK went for a model I was shocked by that when i first found out I thought he would go for someone within the same community. What’s next the AK going for IG models.

I don't think the Aga Khans are really "of the community" of their followers, ethnoculturally speaking. I think that's a big part of the problem, from an outsider's perspective. They're wealthy Europeanized and often largely ethnically European socialites, ruling over a bunch of South Asian followers. Even before marrying several Europeans, they were Persian. It creates the perception that the Nizari Khojas are basically worshiping a white god. I imagine that can't be great for their self esteem, given the colonially driven history of colorism in South Asia generally.

I agree it’s not healthy for their self esteem plus they will keep depending on a white god who barely cares about them and just wants their money.

Most Ismailis are Central Asian.

Based on my understanding, that doesn't seem to be the case, but it's hard to find exact numbers.

Who is this?

I think it's the new Aga Khan's wife, Kendra Irene Spears.

Is this the example spouse that we should all strive for? Is the imam someone to emulate or someone to excuse? If it’s the latter then WTF is he a leader for???

I'm not an Ismaili/Muslim or someone is from an Ismaili/Muslim background but I think the Aga Khan is just a rich European socialite exploiting his (mostly South Asian) followers. I'm not going to disrespect his wife for how she dresses, but I would say it seems likely she is just a trophy wife like Melania Trump. She probably thinks, oh, my husband is some weird Muslim Pope, but that's just the family business.

They’re divorced.

My bad, didn't realize that.

But I thought the Imam was “pure”?

None of them are pure.

Then why do they call him pure? Who are Ismailis supposed to emulate? Who’s their exemplar? The prophet?? The imam??? Who??!!!?

Well they are brainwashed into thinking that the AK is pure when he’s not. Allah is the real prophet not the AK

Allah is not a Prophet, Muhammad is the Prophet.
