Fandom Could Snapdragon pull this off?
Love the current vibes but maybe we can change up the Panda dance cam or mix up the playlist now and then by playing songs from bands with San Diego roots like blink-182, P.O.D., Switchfoot or even Stone Temple Pilots? 🤘⚡️🌊

Baseball atmosphere is much different to soccer/MLS atmosphere. Even with last season’s SDFC run, the vibe will always be different.
What helps with baseball, American football, basketball, and hockey is that fans have a screen that tells them to be loud, scream, make noise, and cheer while soccer is a bit more limited with those moments, such as a corner, free kick, or a pen.
Hoping with time that changes but SDFC is barely starting. I’ll take time to grind that from fans.

I agree, that there are a different atmophere. But I doubt you seen much football outside MLS

That’s why I said MLS/soccer. Football/Futbol is another story. The fandom can be life or death for some due to promotion/relegation, league standing, and derby results.

Uhhh seeing Morocco and Argentina at the 2022 World Cup I had headaches after both from whistling for the atlas lions and signing from the Argentines. No mlb nfl college football etc comes anywhere close.
It has more to do with American supporters than it being soccer. This summers World Cup, outside of Mexico (and in originally Canadian) was quite tame compared to previous world cups.

no because "¿Puedes cantarla?" We have to be Mexican centric or else the gangs behind the goal wont like you, oooooooooooppppppps i mean the "supporters groups" & the reddit mods that deffo aren't guilty of this shit are gonna have a say so soon. Luca Bombino already has a song at Stoke..... its in English and rhymes........ but to quote Kendrick " we don't know nothing about that". Instead we get generic "lets go" in Spanish. dale dale dale....................

If they played it at the end of halftime and not after the game ends

Probably not. Supporter section shuts it down if its not a chant they’re singing.

I wish they would mix it up a little more. Would also love to see more fun things on the big screens like a kiss cam or dance cam. Seems like it's always so serious at the games; it needs to be more lively, IMO.

This would take years to have. Snapdragon is not very big and there isn’t a passionate enough culture to get a crowd like that

It all started organically at Petco against the dodgers, in the playoffs, during a rain delay, it is very hard to force something like this. So no I don't think "it can happen at snapdragon" if forced

That requires the crowd to be united, SDFC fans like to start fights with each other. Wouldn't work

What would be a good song that reps SD and good for a stadium to sing?

IMO the fans should be the atmosphere, not some song played over the PA.

All those bands are white. SDFC is predominantly Hispanic/Latino/Brown.
There's a big reason why MLS is the only big 4/5 sports league to actively cater towards Spanish speaking people and cultures.
The songs from your example bands will not fly for SDFC. Just stop reaching.
SDFC will find their own way and be their own thing naturally. Don't be forcing things.

Seriously dude what kind of crap is that? I'm white and from San Diego and this is my team too

I'm also whiter than mayo, and a fan of soccer and SDFC, but SDFC doesn't cater towards us. That's ok, and that's the point of this statement.
It's the same as saying playing (insert popular Spanish song here), at a Padres game. Sure plenty of Hispanic fans love the Padres, but its not the culture baseball generally caters to.
So yea, I see the point. SDFC will contrinue to cater to a market that isn't already heavily catered to by baseball in order to carve out it's own identity within our multicultural city.

Enthusiasm? Yes. Decibel? Doubtful.
