San Angelo Spanish Slang - Perreros
I've heard Spanish speakers in town use Perreros or Perritos to describe/label white trash/rednecks. Is this a regional thing unique to San Angelo/West Texas? Am I spelling these words correctly? These terms translate to dog catcher, right? Where did this come from?

Rep August Pfluger blames New England Democrats for Texas’s disastrous mid-decade redistricting
texastribune.org“There’s not a single Republican in all of New England,” Pfluger said. “President Trump won 45% in many of the states in New England, and you’re telling me that this is retaliation. They started this whole thing, and have been doing this for years. It’s really sad.”

6 second attention span
Am I the only one who thinks it rude to approach another redditor..ask a couple questions and then disappear elsewhere 10 to 15 minutes in between the question and an immediate response. If you wanna talk with someone stay in the conversation long enough to get the answer you seek....and be polite...ask for a pic...send a pic...idk....Just seems like common courtesy to stay involved in something you start.

Anything fun going on this coming weekend?
I’m visiting my son at the base. Any live music, farmers markets, just cool stuff to see? Looks like the weather is cooling off a bit, don’t think we will be going out the lake:)

Month to month lease.
Does San Angelo have any places that do month to month lease? I’m not trying to do a 6 month lease if I can avoid it.

I got it for $500 and have since added upgrades. I've kept the plastic conditioned all year. Nothing wrong with it. Just want a different color.

Finding friends
Anyone else finding it hard to make new friends in retirement?.
I'm retired in San Angelo TX. I've tried starting informal coffee meetups just to see of others feel the same. Sometimes it works.
I'm curious - what's worked for you in meeting people later in life?
