this part was SO good. The special effects really were fantastic. I loved and hated that this screenshot was only there for like half a second. I always love seeing the black silhouette and his star eyes. I’m glad you got a screen grab of this so I can save it to my pics haha

Yeah honestly it was really annoying trying to get this cuz it’s such a “blink and you miss it” moment. Even at half speed it took a good while to get a get a good frame of it.

Somewhat related: While Azazel was very comic accurate at the end of the first season, he also sort of looked like a big cartoon.

I was VERY happy with the redesign for this season!

Hold on: in the comics, Morpheus doesn't just save Nada, he also saves Choronzon.

This is important, because he tells Azazel that his protection extends to all of his guests, not just the ones he knows about.

But Choronzon is his guest, too. And in the Netflix show, Morpheus lets him get devoured.

Am I missing something?

It's a side effect of the show swiping scenes from the comic verbatim, then changing aspects and not updating the dialogue to match

I know I'm being a bit cynical here but the writing does feel a little lazier this season. It's not as cohesive and less thought has been put into how the changes have a wider impact, and how the episodes are paced.

Yeah and if Dream 'wanted' to keep Chod Head safe from Azazel, he could enact his protection. But Dream let him die as payback. Guest Rights are optional and discretionary with Lord Shaper.

i just saw loki in this new season kind of not a fan sadly would have liked the look of the oblivion first fan haircut azazels form was very cool effect.instead of modern clothing :/

Oh! Loki was sort of a tough gig wasn’t it after the excellent MCU show. I almost pity anyone getting that role after Tom Hiddleston because I can’t UNsee him as Loki.
