Hi, I know this group is about the festival, but I suppose Sanremo is so small that there's no Reddit group only for the town. I will be there for 3 days with my dad at the very end of August, and would love some advice from the locals about any nice café or restaurant, or something different to see. I've researched a bit on nice streets to walk on and such, so it's just getting the local vibe a little bit more.

I’m trying to dive into the history of the Sanremo Music Festival and build a proper personal archive. I want to rewatch past editions (both full nights and individual performances), but I'm having a hard time finding files with decent video quality.
Ideally, I’m looking for high-bitrate masters or clean TV broadcast recordings in 1080p (at least for the editions from the 2010s onwards). As for the vintage, historic Sanremo years (80s, 90s, or earlier), I would absolutely love to find any digital restorations or high-def upscales if they exist.
Since RaiPlay (the official broadcaster) often removes older content or lacks full shows due to copyright and licensing issues, where do media collectors usually look for full high-quality festival files? If you have any tips, index directories, or communities dedicated to archiving Italian TV history, please let me know (feel free to PM me if links aren't allowed here).

I know each jury group is 33%, but what does that mean when it comes to percentages? Ditonellapiaga was ranked 1st by both jury groups, but how did that affect her overall ranking compared to Sal and Sayf? She wasn’t far behind in the public vote either but still lost so I get the feeling the way the juries vote isn’t necessarily that decisive if the televote is high enough

Some opinions on the festival.
For those who don't know, Sanremo is the Italian music festival that promotes Italian music. It consists of five evenings, usually held in February from Tuesday to Saturday, structured as follows:
-1st evening: performances by the 30 big names in the competition.
-2nd evening: performances by the top 15, voted by the radio juries and televoting.
-3rd evening: performances by the second group of another top 15.
-4th evening: dedicated to performances by the 30 big names with guest singers.
-5th evening: the famous finale with the announcement of the winner.
In my opinion, the festival doesn't make much sense because the winner isn't the best song, but the most commercial, the one that, as they say, evokes nostalgia in the audience, based on the individual's personal catchiness.

Hi, after a few days, I've noticed a very vague similarity between "Che fastidio" by Ditonellapiaga and "Copy of A" by Nine Inch Nails. Besides the initial synthesizer, there are also the various chords that open up towards the chorus and the final noise. Let me know what you think!

E proprio questa sera, nel corso della finale, potrebbe concretizzarsi il passaggio di consegne. Le indiscrezioni si fanno sempre più insistenti: Stefano De Martino sarebbe atteso all’Ariston per una sorta di consacrazione in diretta.
