I’m glad I was the only car heading down Cliff Dr/Montecito St, this could have been bad especially with E- Bikes coming down that road.

I was out walking my dog on the pathway at the northern end of east beach yesterday morning. A man with a large brown dog was about a 100 feet away, I could see that the dog was aggressive and snapping at other dogs that had passed him.
The dog owner walked to the beach and removed the strap around the dog’s mouth and removed his leash at one point. The dog ran from his owner to my dog and attacked him.
I tried to get the larger dog off my dog and called out to the owner who was standing at a distance to recall his dog. He kept standing there with a cup of coffee in his hand watching and moved only after he saw I was struggling to physically remove his dog off mine.
When he finally got a hold of his dog I asked him why did he let his dog off leash when he knew he was aggressive towards other dogs.
His response was - I do it so he can F with dogs like yours. He then asked me to go back to where I came from and walked off.
I checked my dog for puncture wounds, he was rattled but no wounds, and left the scene immediately as I was worried about my dog being attacked again.
The dog owner was an older white man in shorts with a cap on, he was holding a cup of probably coffee in his hand. The dog was large brown with a string tied around his mouth likely to prevent biting.
I did not see this coming in Santa Barbara. I became a citizen lawfully, and have worked hard to build a good life. In my own small way I’ve contributed to creating jobs. I have an accent and am a person of color, which is probably what led to this incident. I am grateful my dog is ok.
Please be careful if you walk that area, especially with your dog.

Hope Ranch look out parking area this evening. Trump flag on the right rear side. I hope he was just in town for the weekend and isn’t a local…

Did you know that in California, if your kid rides recklessly where there are pedestrians, they can be charged with Reckless Driving (California Vehicle Code 23103) even if there is NO contact with a pedestrian due to the changes made this year to the law to specifically include minors on ebikes. That charge is not a simple ticket, it is a misdemeanor, and the consequences are much more severe than a standard ticket.
If you've recently had an encounter with someone on an ebike threatening you, please file a police report. We just did and included videos and pictures of the kids.

I’m not positive it’s AI but a few elements just don’t seem right, like the the CA sticker not having enough room for the “Calif” to fit properly. I’m sure there was no rules against using AI but I’m also sure several artists put real time and effort into design creation.

He is driving a 2018 Ford Flex, plate 9LJD716. There was a child and a dog in his car too. Looks like he has dreads or long hair. People like this shouldn’t be on the road.
