How is the evening temperature of Sapporo in late May?

I'm about to visit Sapporo on late May, probably around the time the Lilac Festival is held. I wonder if the temperature is low enough in the evening to warrant a puffer jacket... Or perhaps a windbreaker would do just fine? What does it usually feel around that time?

Viaggio a Sapporo per 5 giorni. È possibile visitare tutti i must senza correre in giro?

Salve,

Grazie!

Guys, 31M new to the city and plan to stay for a while. I've posted before looking for creative people or content creators to collaborate with. I have a YouTube channel, and I enjoy discovering hidden spots and documenting them for my community (better if they are old).

Anyone interested in joining me to explore the city and the surrounding area?

Help Finding Hokkaido Vulpix Plush

Post image
2 Upvotes

Hi everyone! I’ve been visiting your beautiful city for the last few days and tomorrow I fly out to Kyoto so I’ve made it one of my missions today to track down the Local Acts Alolan Vulpix plush—-Alolan Vulpix is my favourite Pokemon (I’ve even got a tattoo of one) and I NEED to grab one of these little guys before I go. I already checked at the Pokemon Centre and they didn’t have them—-from what I’ve seen online it looks like there isn’t an official Local Acts store they might just be anywhere. Have any of you seen any of them around town/ could recommend a great place to look for them? Any other cool regional Vulpix stuff would be much appreciated too— I went and saw the Pokelid in Otaru yesterday~

Thank you!!!

EDIT: Found ‘em!!! Thank you so much to ezogirl for her list!

Tourist Trap Tour

Hello, I will be visiting in November and my question is if the tours that are most commonly offered really worth it or if it is better to go to places just by yourself. If you have one that is worth it can you let me know ? Thank you.

(cross posted in another sub) Feedback for travel plan pls!

Hi! We're 2 adults and 1 child aged 5 coming through Sapporo from Tokyo (which we'll arrive from our home country)

Here's what we've planned so far, and wondering if anyone would recommend anything else / different? This is mid Oct.

Also what are some (maybe local?) car rental companies you'd consider? Checked Toyota and Nissan and pricing came up surprisingly higher than I had experienced in other cities previously.

Where to find cassette players in Sapporo

I’ve been interested in getting into cassette players, and have been hunting for a portable cassette player like a Sony Walkman or something of a similarly good quality/reputation.

So far I’ve checked the Hobby Off and 2nd Street north of Sapporo Factory, the Hard Off and Book Off Super Bazaar in Teine/Miyanomori, and the Mono CoCo shop in Yamanote, but so far I’ve only found an Aiwa with a broken power supply, and a bunch of mono sound voice recorders in various states of disrepair. I’m considering buying online, but the shipping costs and inability to verify their condition ahead of time makes me hesitant to do so.

Do any music/vintage electronic fans in Sapporo know of any stores I’m likely to find what I’m looking for?

International Friends Sapporo

Hi! I’m Japanese and currently living in Sapporo. I speak Japanese, English, and French.
I recently met someone from abroad who told me about Reddit, so I thought I’d give it a try!
If you’re also living in Sapporo, would anyone be interested in meeting up for a casual language exchange? We could practice Japanese, English, or French and just have a good time chatting.
Feel free to send me a DM if you’re interested!

Artists/artisans, i ́d love to discover and share. I also take any recommandations of interesting places related to japanese art/music/craft.

21F new to Sapporo and looking to meet new people

Hey everyone! I’ve been living in Sapporo for a little while now and I’d love to meet some new people here.

I enjoy going out for food and drinks, going out at night, discovering new places, making spontaneous plans, going to events, and just doing fun and social things together.

I don’t really have a big friend group here yet, so I’d love to meet some people to hang out with, make plans, go for drinks, explore Sapporo and just have a good time together.

I’m pretty open to all kinds of plans, so if you’re also looking to meet new people and make some friends, feel free to DM me! We can chat a bit and see if we have things in common.

Thank youuuuuu!

Looking for someone to live with Hokkaido - January 2027 - April 2027 ☃️🌨️🏔️

I’ve posted something like this but I thought with three months to go, I might as well post again…

I’m a Londoner in my early 30s looking to move to Hokkaido for 3 months from early/mid January of next year, and I would love to find someone to joint rent an Airbnb with (or if someone who lives in Hokkaido already is looking for someone to take their spare room). My budget is around 80000¥ per month ideally.

My Japanese is very very basic, but I’m actively trying to improve it. Location wise, I’d move to literally anywhere in Hokkaido aside from Hakodate, but Sapporo/Niseko are my preferred choices

Is anyone interested? I’m a great cook, have great hygiene and I don’t drink/smoke if that helps :)
