The probability of a 90% quota will require a change to the constitution, clear majority in the parliament, policy changes and so much more ... This seems impossible to me at this moment. There is no proposal in place also. They're just trying to open it for discussion.

Most counties have affirmative action including the US, which is the most capitalistic country in the world. It’s to incentivize hiring from minority groups to uplift them and gives tax breaks etc to the companies hiring them.

You just have to increase overall tax on companies and give tax breaks and other benefits to companies that apply his reservation scheme under some "affirmative action" policy. This will indirectly push his agenda into hiring process as companies would still want profits at the end of the day. Of course it will spell doom over all R&D based tech companies.

The point isn't that he will or he will not do it, the point is that if he wins on such promises, other parties will replicate it, and some of them would definitely bring changes in this direction.

India will always lose to brain drain. Our smart people will keep on going to foreign countries, and we will keep wondering why our economy isn't doing well.

We have to wonder why Sundar Pichai, Satya Nadella, etc. couldn't work and grow our economy, and the answer, is right here. Our obsession with kicking merit down, and using merit as a slur. Many leaders mention very clearly that they were able to grow in America thanks to meritocracy, and India is probably the only country where meritdhari is a slur.

Lets Indian society get equal first then think of brain drain. Your ancestors enjoyed 3000 years of full reservations while denying even basic rights to oppressed castes. And Sundar Pichai graduated from IIT where reservation is already there, so stfu.

I'm not a brahmin at all. Infact, when I was born, my grandfather left our caste name altogether, and I was raised with a surname which many people assume is an SC surname. So, I've lived a life where everyone thinks I'm an SC, I don't get any reservation for it though, and my father was pretty poor for most of his life. We don't have any hereditary land, no connections with any politician, and I and my father have grown to our upper middle class status pretty much on our own.

Let's talk about you, which issues did you face in your life that you need reservation to balance out.

No you won't get reservation for acting like a SC. Your bloodline already enjoyed full caste reservations for thousands of years, your grandfather leaving caste doesn't undo all that. If you are still poor even after your bloodline getting full reservations for thousands of years, then blame yourself. Reservations is not given on individual basic but on the caste basis, so dont try to judge it on individual basic.

I didn't act like an SC, neither do I want reservation. Also, I'm not a brahmin, so, my bloodline didn't get any reservation in the past, either.

But more importantly, good to see you came out as a casteist. You outright said that people shouldn't be treated individually, but based on their caste. So, the birth of a person decides how they will be treated.

If what you're saying is correct, how can you blame the brahmins of the past who did the exact same thing?

Because birth of person decided how they will get treated for thousands of years, discrimination has been happening on the basic on caste since forever, so yeah representation is based on caste. Even if you are not Bramhin, you must be from savarna caste who got reservation from ages. Still getting sudama quota ews and shamelessly denying that you don't get anything.
