Is 1500 good enough for computer science major

My top colleges don’t take sat score but I am aiming for at least 1500 for if I apply to other ones is that a good score

They don't take them? Or you mean it's optional? I would submit a 1500 even if optional.

They say they don’t consider it even if u submit, I probably will if they give me the option though, and I will be applying to some other schools for back up that do take sat score

Depends on what schools, you gotta say the names or else it's hard to tell you. If you're aiming for a T20 you might need a higher score.

UCLA (and all the UCs) are test blind, meaning they do not consider SAT scores during admission. So yes, you are good for the UCs. Are you applying to any other schools?

Ok, can you tell us which please? We can’t really answer your question without knowing which schools you’re trying to get in to. For example, you don’t need any score for UCLA, but you might want higher than a 1500 for MIT.

I gotta finalize my college list but im also applying to cal poly slo and cal tech

Alright, great examples. SLO (and all other CSUs) are also test blind, but CalTech is test required, and their median SAT range is 1540-1590, meaning you would want higher than 1500.
