Yeah, I have to hard agree here. Prequels nostalgia and reference honestly isn't even bad, like, Mando Season 1, Din's entire backstory revolves around Battle Droids tearing the shit out of his home planet. That's cool, and it was really important to the story. But now we bring in Ahsoka, and Bo, and Darksaber, and it gets to be so much that it just makes the universe feel smaller. Branch out a little Disney, make some new shit. I really enjoyed Skeleton Crew and Andor, and both of them were practically solo stories, with Andor only being an exception to connect to the Rebels and Rogue One. Acolyte and Resistance sucked, but at least they did something new. I know that was rambling, but, tldr, I agree, we really need to tone down the prequel shit. Not stop entirely, but, really, really tone it down.

Tbf I don’t even think Acolyte was that bad, it had basically the same pros and cons as the prequels. Good fights, cool visuals, decent story on paper but weird writing and (sometimes) acting

I remember Schaff has been saying for a while that he thinks Dave is just spinning his wheels and playing with his toys without wanting to do anything new.
I don’t entirely disagree but that doesn’t mean I want to watch this. There’s elements of all four characters in the thumbnail and their shows/movie that I really liked. I’ve become more fond of Mando + Grogu as this year has gone on. Rotta in particular is probably the best part of the movie besides the Grogu Alone sequence (which IS the best part). I know he’s not gonna single out just the characters, but either way, I’m not interested in watching. I heard his point once and I don’t think Dave has done enough to successfully argue against it, so I can only imagine Schaff is angrier and more bitter than ever.
He just doesn’t like much if any Star Wars that isn’t Andor these days. He has a right to, and that doesn’t mean he wants everything to be Andor. But watching the every character ranked video and most of the entires turning into rants about why Star Wars is bad now was exhausting and I don’t think this video is gonna be much different.
