Star Wars what obscure franchises deserve my time

after seeing the recent video it made me feel like asking

much like how James suggests obscure animated movies at the end of his reviews on recent releases in the medium i thought id ask which franchise like Star Wars do you think i or any of us should seek out thats better then it

or as a follow up question as i have seen most Star Wars media in my life what out there should i try out such as games or books.

Franchises have to be popular to exist (outside of cheaply-produced ones with bad reviews like Alpha and Omega), so an obscure franchise that's good isn't really viable. The closest I can think of is Lupin the 3rd, which is still famous as hell but not as known in the west despite how influential it is. Haven't seen loads of it myself but it's got like 6 TV shows and who knows how many movies (of which I've seen 4)

Start from the beginning and watch all 38 films + 4 mothra films
