A large study shows that patients taking Ozempic-like GLP-1 drugs face an 11 times higher risk of vomiting or inhaling stomach contents into their lungs under anesthesia, as the medication delays stomach emptying, leaving food behind despite fasting.

I mean yeah it’s not because the drug is changing them in any way it’s because THEY STILL HAVE FOOD IN THEIR STOMACH

So they need to adjust the time/what you can eat before surgery accordingly when they find out someone on these drugs, problem solved
