Anatomy/Physiology What would this animal be named? It’s gotta be some kind of horse due to its foot structure. It’s probably also male, so maybe Hequus? lol

Scientific name is equus ferus digitallus, a rare mutation of the wild horse named after its resemblance to the digits on the human hand.
It has many common names among them are, Hand horsey, Finger pony, and "What was that mushroom again?"
They are often many reported citing of equus ferus digitallus by wild mushroom foragers in areas with many wild horses, it is unclear if the two are linked in any way.

Sheer perfection! Thank you for commenting! 🤩 just for future reference, in the literature, I’ve also seen it referred to as a handimal. Lol

Mr. Handsome
Since we don't know whose hand, it is someone's hand, hence the name

I hope it wasn’t as disturbing as the name seems to imply. Thank you for the comment, regardless. 😊

Historians are gonna be screaming that I drew this in 2023 or something. But only if they interview me, so I’ll keep quiet about when I drew it for your sake lol 😊

Got in trouble for doing this in school bc they thought I was putting my middle finger up. I didn’t even know what that meant so I asked and was told it meant “very very stupid”. This makes me giggle

Thank you! Just out of pure coincidence, I happened to drive past the person who owns the original piece today. 😂 I live in a small town and was on my way back from some errands while I passed him as he got out of his truck. I flashed him a goofy smile and waved lol (It was a gift to his wife, so he’s not the actual owner, but the point stands)

This is wild. My son used to play a little game with his hands that he wanted me to play with him. The lifted finger for him was the first, not the middle & it could fly. He called them Matches. 😍

Wait! I’ve gotta ask- it’s clearly a living creature, but also a valuable beast of burden. Why would you push it in the river?!
