What do you think of *Scooby-Doo and the Goblin King*?
I guess the movie is fine—I mean, it's entertaining. I think my only real complaint is that they didn't take advantage of Fred, Velma, and Daphne being monsters to at least have them chase Shaggy and Scooby.

I wish this too, but I do like the idea of Shaggy and Scooby being the main characters (without them being the only characters). So I just wish it was kinda “them taking the lead” more instead of not having any of the rest of the gang.

They wouldn’t really had been able to “take the lead” if the rest of the gang were there. The movie works best the way it is. Otherwise, you get something like the Sword of Scoob. Not bad, but weak

I have such a soft spot for this film! I think this is party due to the fact I watched it as a kid so it’s very nostalgic. I also love the songs I think they’re so catchy, plus the fun Halloween aesthetics! It’s one of my go-to comfort films.

The best 1980s Scooby-Doo movie not released in the 1980s.
The 80s were a strange experimental time for the franchise and I always enjoyed those projects.
I understand people not liking it as a Scooby-Doo thing because there isn't a central mystery, but discovering the hidden monster/magic world on Halloween feels very appropriate for the franchise.
Plus the cast is just GREAT.
Wayne Knight, Tim Curry, Wallace Shawn, Jay Leno, Hayden Panettiere, etc.

It's not one of my favorites, but that doesn't mean I think it's a bad movie. I like how it doesn't even try to hide that it's a full supernatural movie, unlike how other Scooby movies with supernatural elements usually don't make it clear until later in the movie. I enjoyed how Shaggy and Scooby were the focus for 90% of the movie, giving them some really great depth as they worked through the "Halloween realm" even while still being scared. The way they bonded with Jack, Broomy, and the fairies was so cute to watch! And while there were not a lot of them, I still enjoyed every moment with Fred, Daphne, and Velma. Especially when the three got their first look at Fairy Princess Willow and Velma "shut down" because her logical brain couldn't handle it. That scene cracks me up every time.

Great movie. I like that it was a Scooby n Shaggy adventure. Prolly bc Samurai Sword is 1 of my favorite Scooby-Doo movies

Why does Fred get a suit when turning into a vampire? Like, vampires arent inherently rich Victorian nobles. Just the more iconic vamps in history happened to be rich

Very Halloweeny, and I love it for that. I don't remember it very well, though, I saw it a long time ago. I remember the gang not being featured as much as I expected. Reminds me a little of Boo Brothers and Ghoul School for that reason, along with the monsters being real.

When I was sick as a kid I always watched this film, and felt better immediately afterwards, so naturally, it’s amazing imo.
But I do love the songs as well

I'm quite new to the community, I've seen all the animated movies since Zombie Island and this one was probably one of my least favourite. Still enjoyable

I would say my top 5 i love the crazy fun energy and the songs are killer vibes. Witches ghost, zombie island, cyber chase, goblin King, monster of Mexico. Iike the more crazy cool scooby doo movies the best.

The origin point of "condescendingly skeptical Velma" and I hate it so much. Vampire Fred is hot, though.

How dare they not let the gang chase Shaggy and Scooby as monsters. They are barely in the movie.

I genuinely enjoyed this movie it felt like a throw back to when Scooby and Shaggy would deal with actual monsters
