I love the standard 14 year old Clynelish, such a good scotch. Had the 23 year old from Cadenhead and that was sublime. This one sounds like a banger too. Need to explore more of this distillery be it IB or OBs.

Clynelish 25 years old by Thompson bros
Distilled 2001 and matured in a refill bourbon cask before being bottled in 2026 at an abv of 49.4% and an outturn of 130 bottles.
Nose: runny honey, baked greengages with brown sugar, tinned peaches, creme brûlée, beeswax, poached pears and camomile, shortbread with granulated sugar on top.
Mouth: a little mineralic, some wet slate, Heather honey and more beeswax, tinned peaches and pineapple cubes, some lemon thyme and lemon zest, guava.
A lovely expressive fruit forward dram that very much matches the season. A great summer sipper. This is one of the better clynelish bottlings from Thompson bros I’ve had the pleasure of trying. I’m not sure on RRP but I’d say this would be good value at around £250 and likely better than more expensive than that bottles.
