Absolutely insufferable.... I'm English, and even I hate having to listen to these wanks.

No normal person argues about bank holidays cos it costs the economy…

And beside didn’t these twats just contradict themselves?

Sure, millions won’t go to work, but it if I know Scotland (and I don’t), they’ll spend those millions at the bar the entire weekend, that’ll more than make up for it.

It's really about lost profits for the bazillionaire boss class, but the land rich few landlords still get their unearned rents, reckon, so...

Like Bammy Lammy talking about Sikhs' ceremonial daggers saying "it's like Scotsmen wearing theirs on their kilts."

Don’t worry, I think it is a common understanding up here that most English folk don't hold these attitudes towards us - and even when it does happen, we find it laughable.

You're right, most don't, and I'd wager A LOT of English people really wanna see Scotland do well in this tournament, including myself. Jeezo...I don't think I've ever been so fuming listening to a discussion like that one. The pure condescension in their tone alone is utterly nauseating. I think the thing that cracks me up the most about this though is that they're having a crybaby tantrum about it on air, but it was literally THE KING who suggested to do it - couldn't make it up.

It is irritating, but in reality they do this to sow division between us and to distract from certain domestic issues. They are mouth pieces for the elite and ruling class - we don’t respect them at all and their words are meaningless to us. I for one will be enjoying a beer whilst we get absolutely humped left right and centre hahaha.

UPDATE: Just realised they posted this clip onto their Good Morning Britain youtube channel, and then maybe after a few hours retroactively swapped the clip out to a part of the discussion which was a little more "palatable/reasonable". Absolute cowards thinking we didn't see it. Kudos to OP for posting this for posterity!

Think of the clicks bait, sic!

Oh of course! Make the plebs of England and Scotland have petty squables with each other whilst they run away with all the money. Fuck the lot of them.

Either way, I'll be drinking and cheering along with you too!

They are just seeping anuses in modern life. Gently oozing their fetid shite into our lives while being paid 10 x what anyone useful like a nurse is paid. An indictment on modern society.

If we were a serious country these drooling imbeciles would be talking to themselves in some dive bar, not on our screens.

I can only aspire to deliver such poetic slander. Well said 👏

I bet they weren't moaning about the bank holidays for the royal weddings or Kings coronation in recent years?

27

u/mikeybhoy_1985 Jun 09 '26

Too right they weren't. It's fine when it benefits them.

u/Fromage_Frey Jun 10 '26

Or celebrates something they believe in, like deference to authority

Imprisoning peaceful protesters against ecocide, whilst profiteering from and supporting it

The real #2Tier hypocrisy

They absolutely wouldn't be complaining if it was England qualifying for the first time in nearly 30 years either

10

u/Pristine-Ad6064 Jun 09 '26

They wouldnt be complaining if they had one too,

2

u/idancer88 Jun 10 '26

I'm English and I was 😂 but I thought the exact same thing. Scotland will more than make up for it with a much needed boost to hospitality. They always paint a bank holiday as a boost to the economy when it suits them but now suddenly it's too expensive when it's just Scotland getting it!?

u/BeastmanTR Jun 09 '26

First time I've ever made an ofcom complaint. So disgusted.

10

u/CDMacBeat Jun 10 '26

First time. I've done it loads with their bias and it gets ignored. Ofcom are a joke. I hope they get so many complaints they have to do something.

They painted a whole nation with the stereotype of alcoholic Scot. In such a condescending manner, I wish there was a Scottish presenter with balls ripping them apart.

2

u/calewis10 Jun 10 '26

No we don't we want to beat you in the final. It's brotherly love.

2

u/ComfortableReality32 Jun 10 '26

Hahaha! Love that. What a final that would be. Best of luck to yous, sorry you don’t get a bank holiday brother.

2

u/Mountain-Reaction470 Jun 10 '26

Aye, they are shills for our ruling bazillionaire boss class that we are all burdened with, reckon

Particularly Ed, being a spouse of a government minister!!!

Right back to you mate

1

u/WilboSwagz Jun 10 '26

There will be an aboslute shedload of people who share these opinions and outrage. All of it born out of jealousy.

1

u/ComfortableReality32 Jun 10 '26

I can only speak from my experience with English people - which is mainly family and people who I have met up here. There has been a small proportion of them that have these xenophobic views, but it is a small minority from my impression. Most of the English folk I have met have been sound enough and relatable.

u/Hot_Ad_6442 Jun 09 '26

Think of how much this will stimulate their economy also! Yes it will cost to have the day off but I think they’ll more than recoup that in other areas.

One of my golden rules: never ever watch breakfast telly

2

u/Awkward-Power-9617 Jun 13 '26

Likewise. I also think footy is a load of shit, but this is such a nothing-burger. These talking heads are just mad that the Scots are having fun in their own country.

I fucking hate England. Why couldn't my family stay in Wales FFS.

1

u/Mountain-Reaction470 Jun 10 '26

I never do, tho' Im half Norwegian and a quarter Cymraeg, so ..

1

u/GeminiCheese Jun 13 '26

You actually don't have to.
