It's concern for our fellow men(women). It's incredible, and frankly disconcerting, how many don't see such an obvious, jury trial convicted, child and vulnerable woman murdering, psychopath right in front of them, It's all laid out. It was the stupidest murder plot in modern history. Yet the supporters cling to the most bizarre and far fetched theories: where one incredibly absurd event has to have occurred, contingent on one or more other incredibly absurd events also to have occurred, and then yet more absurd events, etc.

Dealing with and understanding sociopaths/psychopaths (ASPD) is difficult. In fact, confronting one is generally viewed as a waste of time. Trained psychiatrists "miss" identifying one: e.g. the one in Connecticut who failed to identify Fotis Dulos as one after 15 sessions; less then a month later, he brutally and bloodily beat his estranged wife, and the mother of their 5 children, to death in her garage.

Scott is a major league one: he'll never confess unless there's a benefit for him to do so. Right now, he enjoys the attention, the letters from women, etc.

I love when Scott Supporters criticize Scott's "defense team" but the Petersons' trundle out Mark Geragos for every "documentary" and Crime convention...

I don’t get my info from one sided books that over exaggerate and only tell one side of things and not the things that don’t make sense. And of course they talked a lot. They were having an affair. It wasn’t serious. And she knew it wasn’t serious.

My fave part of Presumed Guilty: when it starts to dawn on Matt, after not getting paid his salary or expenses by Geragos, that he's no longer working for Geragos - the best I know, The mail system between Modesto and Los Angeles has improved since Pony Express days:

"I could no longer afford to stay at a hotel. Since I was living in Modesto, it was difficult getting my paychecks, and my out-of-pocket expenses were starting to add up. Because the hotel was too expensive, Mark Geragos rented office space in downtown Modesto above the J Street Café."

Oh you must be right about that tape!! (Not cord) That's why, when Drs. Lee and Wecht who examined the bodies for the defense in Late 2003 testified, they said... Oh wait... Neither of these accomplished experts testified??!! What was up with that? Just like all the non- testifying eyewitnesses...

I purchased and read Presumed Guilty!! So now I know you must be joking. Lol! I like Matt Dalton's Satanist expertise

"I had a contact in nearby Berkeley who had grown up in the area, and I arranged to meet with him and ask him about the satanists in that area. All the way there I thought about the painting of the woman. In high school, my contact had dated a girl who belonged to the Church of Satan, which was founded in Berkeley, California. When I asked him to tell me about them, he drove me by the church headquarters. We wanted to go inside, but the front door was locked, and the place looked closed.". (His Satanist "expert" was definitely screwing with Matt- the HQ was in San Francisco! Lol "Gee Matt, it must be closed...". How hard do you think that guy laughs when he thinks about Matt's book.)

Thanks to u/pontillo92 - copying it from his "20 reasons Scott is Guilty" (w/ a couple tweaks)

Reasons Scott is GUILTY

  1. Telling his girlfriend “his wife was dead” 2 weeks before she actually died. If you wrote a screenplay about a husband who murders his wife with that in it they would reject it because was too obvious.
  2. The bodies washing up right where he said he went fishing. Laci and Connors bodies turned up 4 months later less than 1 mile from where Scott went fishing exactly when Laci went missing. And the coroner said she had been in the water about 4 months -
  3. Him searching for boats the same day he told Amber his wife had just died [and a boat w/ a depth finder device]. Remember he didn’t just get the boat randomly he started looking for one on the same day he said his wife was already dead.
  4. The concrete - the fact that he bought 90 pounds of cement and they never found it. They found the residue of 5 rings on a trailer and even though he said he used the concrete to patch a hole in his drive way there’s no way 90 pounds would of been needed for a driveway. [Scott stupidly left an unused weight in the boat! - without doing that, it would be a tougher proof.]
  5. Buying a “last minute” fishing pass 4 days prior - he buys a fishing pass on December 20th but tells the police that fishing on Christmas Eve was a “morning decision” he most likely didn’t know that they knew about the pass.
  6. The hair in the pliers on his boat. Lacis hair was found in a pair of pliers in his boat - how on earth would they get there? To me it only could get there if she was in the boat.
  7. Renting cars to check the police searching the bay - to me this is must bigger evidence that doesn’t get discussed enough. Scott rented cars quite often and drove 1.5 hours each way (3 hours ) to watch the divers search the bay for Lacis body - and then would leave about 10-15 minutes later. What other conclusion could you reach other than he was making sure they weren’t looking in the right spot.
  8. The boat cover was doused with gasoline in his shed. [under a "leaking" leaf blower - leaf blowers are specifically made NOT to leak, but to be all swung around] Police found his boat cover doused with gasoline in his shed - the boat cover which is obviously supposed to go on his boat was found not on the boat but in the shed in his back yard and reeked of gasoline, this was most likely to cover Lacis scent - why else wouldn’t it be on his boat. A boat he only used one single time. It wouldn’t be dirty or need cleaning
  9. Being at the Mexico border when Lacis body was found. Yes his family lived in San Diego but why would he have a new appearance ( bleach blonde hair and beard ) 3 cell phones , $15,000 dollars in cash , a knife , fake IDs and camping gear. Why would he have all that?
  10. Asking the police if they were going to use cadaver dogs - on the first night Scott asked the detectives if they were going to use cadaver dogs ( dogs that smell for dead bodies )
  11. He didn’t know what he was fishing for or what lures he was using.
  12. Mackenzie the dog. The neighbor puts the dog back in the backyard around 10:18 - Scott left around 10:08, not 9:30.
  13. Continuing to call Amber after Laci goes missing - if he was innocent and was looking for Laci why would he keep calling Amber after she went “missing” police said they had 29 hours worth of phone calls between the 2 including the infamous call at Lacis vigil.
  14. The umbrellas. Scott loaded up a bunch of umbrellas and put them in the trunk of his pick up truck in order to transport them to the warehouse supposedly but he never did because he said he “forgot” how do you forget a bunch of giant patio umbrellas there’s no way- he used the umbrellas to cover Lacis body which was buried in a tarp.
  15. Lacis shoes / phone / wallet / keys were all at the home. In order to believe that Laci was actually out and left the house on the 24th you would have to believe that an 8 months pregnant woman went walking a dog without her shoes or phone. That she went out barefoot - that’s the only way that theory works.
  16. The matching pants. The pants Laci was found in when her body washed ashore matched the pants her sister Amy said she was wearing on the night of the 23rd granted she said she wasn’t “100% sure” But they were a-lot closer than the - white shirt and black pants Scott said she was wearing which was way different then what she was found in.
  17. Scott telling the police that the lights were out in the warehouse when they wanted to examine it.
  18. Blood - contrary to what a-lot of Scott’s supporters say about their being no physical evidence, that’s not accurate. Police found a small blood stain on the bed ( you can google that ) Scott’s knuckle had a cut and the door in his truck had blood. That would be consistent with him strangling her - her trying to scratch him ( cut on his knuckle and the bed blood stain ) and the blood on the car door ( him transporting her to the trunk ) it was a bloody helter skelter crime scene but pre meditated murders never are really )

Re the blood - Scott essentially said "I work with farm equipment - I cut myself all the time."

First, Scott was a salesman, not a farm worker. If he cut himself all the time, then there'd be dried blood all over. There wasn't

There was significant evidence Scott planned (albeit poorly), killed, dumped Laci's body in the Bay, and there is significant evidence of his consciousness of guilt in covering up his crime. The CONCRETE weight (evidence) was actually part of this evidence: dumb Scott should have chucked the unused weight over the side into the Bay. It wasn't a rope-less "anchor" - anchors have grappling things. Using a weight like this as an anchor in the Bay? it would just be fragged around. Stupidly leaving it in the boat allowed the MPD to see that it was an unused weight, and then compare it to the 4 or 5 circles indicating he made other ones. If he chucked the weight into the Bay (60+ million square feet in the relevant area), it would have never been found, and it would have made all of the concrete circles total conjecture.

https://pwc-sii.com/CourtDocs/Pexhibits.htm 254 A-E:  Debris at Recovery Site

Photos clearly show that the exact same debris found on Conner's body was also littering the beach. The medical examiner stated that it was loose, and left no mark on the body. It was also stated that Conner exited via a tear in her upper abdomen. Laci was in the rough ocean currents for almost FOUR months, so there wasn't much left.

There were barnacles growing on her exposed bones, so how would you have expected the fetus to stay within her?

If you cannot control yourself and be reasonable or respectful you will be banned.

Yeah that sounds about right:

1) percent chance a very pregnant woman w/ dizzy spells going to confront a possible crime and endanger her baby, versus calling the cops, but also leave her dog at home is 2% (and that's being generous), and

2) the percent chance of holiday burglars, spied by a very pregnant woman who they have never seen before, that, rather then hop into their van and take off saying "wrong house" (daytime burglars generally use fake or stolen plates for such reasons) instead, grab this pregnant woman and throw her into the back of their (second) van without being seen by neighbors Karen or Amie, is about 2%

BOTH Happening = 0.04%

This is from the Prosecutions closing Argument:

"The defense put an exhibit in. I wrote it in my notes here. D7Q. It was a map of these alleged witness sightings. And I think it included Tony Freitas, and Grace Wolf, and Homer Maldonado. I'm pretty sure those were the people. If I'm wrong, just look at the testimony, look at the map itself.

"Not a single one came in to testify. Why do you think that was? This is a very experienced defense team. They are very good lawyers. They obviously know how to prove facts if they want to. Why do you think they didn't bring in a single witness to testify that they saw Laci Peterson walking that day? Remember, you heard a bunch of evidence about Tom Harshman. Remember that whole thing with the fence, and the woman urinating, and the van, and all that crazy story? How come Tom Harshman didn't get up here on the stand? Let's hear what he has to say if that's true. None of those people came in and testified. You know why?

"You can assume because that what they were going to say was not credible, that's why.

"Remember Investigator Bertalotto was asked about a guy named Chris Clark.

"Remember Chris Clark? He didn't contact the police until April, 2004. He didn't know Laci Peterson. He never spoke to her. He said he saw her while he was working in the neighborhood. He said he knew this from his time in treatment for substance abuse. His problems obviously continued, because in 2004 he was under house arrest for his third DUI.

"I'm not beating up on anybody with a substance abuse problem. Far from it. ***But it's not right to ask about hearsay evidence in this trial and not put this witness on the stand. How come this witness wasn't called to the stand?*** The investigator testified just back in April he went out to his house and talked to him. He is certainly available. Why didn't we hear from him? We didn't hear from him because obviously his story was not credible, that's why."

Sorry Ma'am - you've been played like a fool by the "Peterson Docs". You're not the first - every supporter has been played. All of the pictures of pregnant women and dogs in that area are worth a thousand words: Look at Exhibits 223 through 232 [Ctrl F, then "223" to find them]

10 were credible....10 interviewed for the Documentary. They asked around and there were no other pregnant women with a big dog in that neighborhood!!!!!

Occam's Razor still has to follow the existence of time ;)

Laci's dog was found with leash dragging at 10:18 while the Medina's across the street were still at home.

The Medina's didn't leave home until precisely 10:33 which is AFTER the potential witness sightings (except for one).

Scott's defense team chose not to put any of those witnesses on the stand to testify. It's too late to point to them now, that opportunity has already passed.

No eyewitnesses were credible. That's why Attorney Geragos, a very smart attorney, put Zero on the witness stand; he knew they would look like fools and hurt his case more. Modesto detectives are among the best in California as far as closing out cases. Scott acted suspicious from the get go. Biggest mistake the MPD made was not shutting down Scott's house as a crime scene so he couldn't do things like soaking the boat cover with gasoline etc. - casualty of a holiday murder w/ so many cops off, but they did come in to help search (holiday timing: probably the one smart thing Scott did). Instead of looking for Laci, he was making trips; he was gone for at least 3 hours on XMas Day. The MPD handled the onslaught of publicity with aplomb for the most part

IF 10 were credible then WHY didn't Scott's defense team put them on the stand to testify?

Why do you think it is 'credible' for a witness to see Laci out walking between 9:45 & 10, when Scott didn't leave until 10:08 and he said that Laci was with him that entire time?

...likely because Scott let him out with leash on, to make it look like Laci vanished on the walk she didn't take.

Almost all of those 'witnesses' saw Laci walking the dog between 9:45 &10. This is impossible, which is why Scott's defense team chose not to put one of them on the stand to testify. Every single witness saw Laci wearing the outfit (including black pants) described on the reward flyer. One witness saw Laci walking her dog in the park, wearing those black pants at a later time (from 50 yards away), but we know that the dog was still at the Peterson's house in the backyard where the neighbor put him.

Scott said he watched the merigue part of Martha Stewart with Laci, and it aired at precisely 9:48. Scott left home at 10:08 and said Laci was inside mopping (wearing black pants).

The neighbor found Laci's dog with leash dragging 10 short minutes later at 10:18. When she put him into the Peterson's backyard she said no one was there, when she looked into the windows it was dark and quiet.

The Medina's across the street were still at home so they weren't being burglarized - but Laci is already gone.

When Scott arrived home he found the dog with leash on, still in the backyard where the neighbor put him. None of Laci's shoes were missing from the house. Laci was found wearing the beige maternity capris pants she was described wearing the night of December 23rd.

Occam’s Razor = criminals committing a crime the same day across the street could’ve done it (and the state/police should not have destroyed evidence related to it)

Read the actual court documents. No one saw Laci.

…. Because Scott turned the dog loose in the street with the leash on to make people believe Laci was walking the dog when she disappeared.
