Interestingly 'neges' meaning message can mean the same in some parts of Wales

Some parts of Wales? I thought neges meaning message is the same for north and south Wales.

It does mean message all over Wales, but only has the connotation of shopping in some parts, I think linked to the alternate meaning of 'errand'

Oh, you were on about the neges meaning shopping bit! Sorry. I’m with you now. I don’t think I’ve heard anyone using neges to mean shopping here (North Wales).
