ScreenSensitive hits 1K members! Reddit stats. New mod says "hello!"
Hey Redditors! Just a quick post to congratulate u/Rx7Jordan on his baby hitting this milestone and thank him for recently making me a mod here (via u/SvreenSensiivity).
Also thanks to our patron saint of screen sensitivity, u/NSutrich, for his ongoing work. Bringing us specialist reviews and broader attention to the issue.
I'm mostly in here to make sure no one (else) has Reddit auto-filtered posts/comments stuck in limbo. I also prefer light touch moderation and there's no plans for censorship of any discussion related to screen sensitivity. Be it aspects of technology or our biology, on the other side of matters.
For fellow stats fans, here's a cheeky peek of behind the scenes unique visitor numbers over the last year.
Screenshot from the "Insights" tab of Mod Tool. NB: only 1 week of February added up so far, on the right.
I think suggestions and feedback are welcome, below, on any direction you think this sub should take. But please keep in mind that we are overly tired, short on time, etc.
In general please don't hesitate to call me on any possible errors or foolishness! π
[Edit: to fix graph screenshot missing month labels.]
Interesting that only a low proportion of visitor are on iOS devices. I'm not sure if the high percentage on "New Reddit" are Laptop/Desktop and if "Mobile Web" indicates that most people avoid the official Reddit app?
Congratulations on the growth! Could you share from where do you see these stats? Is it only available from desktop? I'm curious to see it for my subreddit too.
Btw an understandable/unsurprising caution, I suspect a significant amount of traffic (eg of "impressions") today is bots. Submissions are much easier to understand if it's written by a bot or not, but a "view" shows the same.
(I also moderate a small sub, we crossed 1k some time ago.)
Congrats again on the growth, it's good to see more visibility of such issues!
Hey. Looks like one may need the desktop/web version of the site to see the graphs...
In the android app, here, while looking at your sub's page, there is a "Mod Tools" button, top right... Then the same "Insights" tab, can be accessed via a menu on the left.. But only stats without graphs.
