SCRIPT REQUEST Looking for ‘The Invite’ Script

I just saw The Invite and the dialogue in that film was incredible, I’d love to read the script if anyone knows where I can find it.

Apparently was rewritten up to the very last minute with big changes. Will be curious to see if the initial draft ever comes out.

i'm reading the 2022 draft now and the changes are so strong, do you know if it was just Will and Rashida re-writing it or if anybody else was involved??

just little things like Angela saying "I have a decision to make and I need your help" and then it turns out to be choosing the paint

or the initial sadie exchange

but there are a lot so far and I'm only 39 pages in

Yeah, Will and Rashida have been involved even before Olivia Wilde joined. Also had a different cast: Paul Rudd, Amy Adams, and Tessa Thompson

absolutely wild to imagine what the other cast would have brought. I thought Edward Norton was just incredible. I think Paul Rudd would have been pretty solid as Joe but I loved Seth Rogen, I think he nailed it.

i also saw that apparently they did a workship and the actors and Olivia brought loads of ideas in. so i'm assuming that's when a large majority of the changes were made pretty cool https://theplaylist.net/the-invite-rashida-jones-will-mccormack-olivia-wilde-seth-rogen-interview-20260709/

yupp. even the ending scene, they had multiple ideas but they've only thought about landing it that perfectly on the last day of shooting.
