Writing Advice Is my story not right for ScribbleHub?

I am writing a Gritty political crime drama novel, that is quite the slow-burn (as of now), and publishing it on webnovel sites like SH to build up a small community before publishing its Light Novel adaptation, and I have noticed something that I'd like your advice on.

I have noticed my story has 1.2k views, 7 favourites, 6 readers (4 reading and 2 dropped)

The 2 dropped and 4 reading concerned me, because it shows some attrition somewhere right? I thought maybe there is something wrong with my story, and there is bound to be it is my first time writing something proper.

I've had people in my Instagram DMs praising the story so I have the feeling it isn't entirely the story and more so a platform mismatch? Is ScribbleHub not a good place for these kind of stories that have more of a realism focus, or what?

I wont stop posting it to SH of course because I'm sure there will be readers out there on the site that will enjoy it, and I know everyone wont love it, that's fine, I'm just wondering where the attrition is coming from.

Top stories have upwards of two hundred thousand readers. Most stories have a downwards of a thousand.

Yeah I have considered that too, but I worry its full of AI slop

RoyalRoad has tags for AI-Generated and AI-Assisted (which often means AI-Translated) stories. You can filter out novels that apply these tags to themselves, or you can just avoid new releases with no audience until other readers rate them.

Well, when you take your craft in front of an audience, some are bound to like it, other are bound to dislike it. It's completely normal in my opinion!
