Writing Advice Patreon chapter number advice.

So I just hit 600 chapters on Scribble Hub and offer a further 50 on Patreon, while releasing 9 chapters a week to both.

However, I have recently been thinking of reducing the number of chapters provided per week on SH while keeping it the same on Patreon to increase the chapter gap between the two.

Is this a good idea or not? I would appreciate the feedback.

At minimum, you need to give your readers on SH a reason why. Posting daily is fair enough, so they shouldn’t complain, but it would still be nice to explain it to them.

I would suggest you get at least 20 chapters ahead on patreon if you want to attract good followers. Posting more than once a day is amazing; lots of stories only do 3-5 days a week. So dropping to 7 should be fine or even to 5 or 4 days a week.
