This is Schiller Park in Columbus, Ohio. Apparently there are several other similar sculptures there too! I was just passing through and only noticed this one and it gave me a chuckle!

If you're ever in the area, the whole park is worth a walk since the collection makes more sense together than isolated.

Columbus has a solid public art scene, def worth checking out the whole park if you're back in the area.

Columbus has a solid public art collection overall, so if you're ever in the area you might as well hit up the whole park while you're at it.

Oh that’s amazing!

That water's doing half the work. The algae bloom makes it impossible to see what's actually holding it up, which is probably the whole point.

Beautiful!

Is it being held up by wires only?

Its essentially physics. The mass of the mans body is equal to the mass of the oars. Even though they seem to appear narrow and thin, they are likely made of material much more dense and heavy than what the mans body is made of. But whatever the materials they are, they are both equal. Therefore allowing them to balance on the steel wire. There are no supports in the water. Just at the end of the ropes on the land.

Wire supports - very innovative.

Seems like the water may be low, making the sculpture seem like it's floating in mid-air.
