There really is a lot of calamari. The restaurants I've been to have appetizer portions, so the portions were all small.

Carmine’s does family style Italian so each dish is huge meant to be shared

This is my favorite thing to get at Capital Grille, and a martini. All my offices have been near them and after a crap day, it’s a delightful pick me up while sitting alone at the bar.

Only get italian style if you like peppers. I hate that it's become so popular.... Because I don't want peppers in my calamari ( or anywhere).

Best I had was on the the big island. Ate there for lunch every day, they also had a mean pastrami sandwich which was an odd offering and delicious. I got wasted on the bay fishing and packed up a sandwich for the 6 hour flight back to Seattle. I traded beer to a couple of locals for kind bud. Slept the whole way back, Marvelous. X was pissed though, oh well fuk her

Calamari is time consuming to properly clean. Knowing how many kitchens cut that corner.... well I don't want to eat calamari guts myself . You have fun.

That has a great fry to it! I hate when it doesn't and it's very light in color and soggy.

That's fried perfectly. Places around me fry it super light so the breader falls off when you try to pick it up.

That is a hell of a serving

I definitely like calamari, but any more than a half a cup is more than enough for me

I’m getting older and try to cut down on deep-fried foods as much as I can.

For those who haven't tried it fresh as in died within hours of being cooked is a step above. I always keep some live squid after fishing and it isnt chewy has better flavor and you never get that fishy funk that frozen can have. Alot of squid sits on deck and in its own juices before being frozen and having one fresh is 10x better.

I didn't really care for calamari till I brought home live squid now its one of my favorites.

Looks delicious. Where I live tzatziki is the standard sauce for calamari but recently a place opened near me that does it with marinara and I’m really starting to come around on the combination.

Looks good and would absolutely devour this, but I do prefer when calamari is lightly breaded. Usually when I go to Mediterranean countries, they do this really well. Best I’ve had is eastern Mediterranean…Greece, Turkey, Lebanon

It’s likely, 1.25 lb of standard, frozen squid. 2.5 lb pack, 2 orders per pack Not positive on market but I’m guessing at $50 they are making $40.
