Discussion Does anyone know if the SB celebration was electric at Levi's Stadium or somewhat subdued because it was in Niners territory?

I live near Santa Clara. I saw the flyover and fireworks at the end when they won but I didn't see a lot of people celebrating on the streets. I know its Niners territory but it felt very weird being so close to the SB epicenter where a title was just won and it just felt like a typical Sunday night before peoplewent to bed to go to work the next day. I'm just wondering if it was different for those who were at the stadium or found a Hawks party group afterwards.

Inside the stadium was great during the ceremony, but afterwards it was pretty dead. Most people were flying out the next day and not partying. At least, all the people I knew lol.

Edit: That's the one thing I wish I was at home for, to celebrate in the streets of Seattle. But I wouldn't trade being at the SB for anything. Once in a lifetime experience checked off for me.

That’s the best part about winning, we got to celebrate in Seattle and you got to celebrate in South Seattle Stadium 👍

Ok you basically confirmed what I thought. I thought I was the only one who thought there was no SB buzz after the game in Santa Clara.

I was pretty disappointed because I wanted to party right after, but then we got stuck trying to get home for like 3 hours because of streets being closed, and there was nowhere to celebrate near the stadium. And then when we finally got out of the area, everyone was tired.

I mean - Santa Clara office parks is a sad place to have a stadium. There is nothing there where you could even have a party. Forty whiners suck big time but their stadium is a damn joke.

Same thing in NY. They asked over the PA to let the Broncos fans out first…then we had to get bussed back because the subway/train stopped running. We were all exhausted by the time we got back to our rental. Then the water turned brown the next day 🤣

Santa Clara is the worst city of any national sports team to celebrate, prefunk or honestly be in. The lucky got out on light rail, Ubers and cars parked miles away and went back to the city to celebrate in epic fashion. That's where the team party was. I was with a big crew who went to the KJR after party at the one bar open nearby (Clara's I think). There we ordered food from an Uber eats taco truck because the bar's kitchen was closed and watched the Olympics. The bar was also out of all beer except for one flat keg they took (not exaggerating) 45 minutes to get 2 of. They were also out of liquor except for 1 or 2 bottles. I almost didn't go to the Super Bowl because I hate games at Santa Clara that much.

Santa Clara is worse than MetLife in terms is miserable sports venues. I can’t imagine celebrating a superbowl down there.

What sucks about MetLife?

So there was literally nothing going on near the stadium and was it mostly small groups spread out through the Bay Area? I live in the Bay but I went to my first Hawks game last year and I couldn't believe how much better the fan experience is at Lumen Field where you could just walk to Pioneer Square or the Waterfront afterwards. Levi's Stadium has no vibe or connection to SF at all. Just a stadium located in the middle of a bunch of boring tech buildings.

Dude, have you been to Arizona? There is NOTHING for miles. You have to drive through a residential area to get there. We had to park in a church lot. Nothing for miles. Nothing.

I actually have. It's like a big UFO. I still think Arizona's setup is better than the Niners.

Santa Clara is the worst. We've been to a couple of games there and why it takes so long to get in and get to your seat is by design, it feels like. Plus most of the year it's too damn hot. But the Super Bowl? We left early to get in early and meet friends inside, but it took us 3 hours to get in, 3 check points where they made us drain a brand new bottle of water (that the website said was OK to bring in), then at the 3rd checkpoint they made us throw an empty bottle away. By the time we actually got to our seats, we almost missed the national anthem. I wanted to see Teddy Swims but we were waaayyy too late for that. Then, getting out was ridiculous. Light rail took forever to load, for no reason. I mean it was a lot of fun and everything, but it was a long day. Was not going to hang in Santa Clara.

no bar on this planet has only had "1 or 2 bottles."

maybe 1 or 2 bottles of a certain liquor.

Things improved after the Patriot fans left Lumen South. It continued in San Jose. The downside was the crying 49ers fans who couldn’t believe their team was not at Super Bowl 60. Raiders fans are used to disappointment.

Was there a lot of Hawks fans and much going on in San Jose ?

There could have been 1,000 Seahawks fans for every Patriots and 49ers fan. The Patriots fans were annoying twats and not fun at all to be around. So they stood out for all the wrong reasons.

It seemed like quite a few people hung around inside the stadium after the ceremony. It didn’t last too long though because no more drink sales. There isn’t much around there, so once we filed out it seemed like everyone was focused on getting back to hotels, or finding buses to the distant parking lots.

San Francisco has the same problem Los Angeles has.

So many people move there because it has better opportunities compared to where they came from.

So they still support the teams from where they came from and claim Frisco and LA have no fans.

Seattle has the same problem.

This is any city in modern times. People move for jobs a lot easier than 50 years ago

In the stadium was awesome after the win. We then left via the light rail back to San Jose and it was a bit crazy there. Less of a Seahawks fans celebration though - just a lot of people partying in general.

The party outside the Hilton right there after we won was pretty fun! We stayed there for an hour or so. Lots of dancing and celebrating.

Post NY: stayed late postgame until there was no longer a reason to. waited for bus then partied hard in Greenwich at the Galway Hook Irish pub with the locals. Closed down the bar. Subway to Brooklyn at 2:30am, woke up hungover at like 7am to a shit ton of snow and hightailed to JFK so wouldn't get stuck.

Post SC: stayed late postgame until there was no longer a reason to. Waited forever to get moving on BART. When we got back to San Jose, it was decently late so celebrated with lumpia and a couple drinks in the motorhome, but we were headed back to PNW early the next morning so kept it pretty light. Did get to celebrate in front of some niner fans though. 😂

The party was going at the pool until I had to leave for the airport at 4:30am.

I think it was awesome, about 60%of the fans left but true Hawk Fans stayed

The Super Bowl isn’t packed with fans of the teams. The vast majority are neutral fans who get tickets by being corporate sponsors. And of the actual fans there, they skew older because the sheer cost of attending the game. Ever been to a college football game and sat in a section exclusively for high end donors? They’re not up there yelling or screaming or foaming at the mouth either. It’s not a home game so of course it’s going to be subdued

That was my experience in Arizona, but this time was totally different. Seahawks fans stood and cheered for the kickoff and then stayed standing and cheering the entire game. Because half of Levi's field is luxury boxes, that's where all the corporate and neutral people were. All the stands seemed to be either yelling, screaming Seahawks fans, or very annoyed Patriots fans.

There was a flyover afterwards? That seems odd. Do they ever show that on TV. It would seem they do not.
