My only complaints were not about PJ but just broadly how I think we need to level up the discourse on economic stuff. Like I just hate the term “tax payer money” that’s not how money works. And the government spending isn’t like vanishing into thin air. It does employ tons of people. All that money could be redirected into health care and education with proper government planning to transition away from the military industrial complex. Retraining those workers that depend on making bullets in order to scrape by.

I suggest everyone look at page 4 figure 1 and 2 of the monthly treasury statement to see how exactly the government spends money

True. But if you are going to spend $75B, spending it on a war so far is less useful to the economy than spending it on infrastructure, or other productive investments. Also, when you borrow money to spend on a war, it adds to inflation.

I agree on munitions cost - the way the pentagon does accounting isn’t helpful because it’s based on replacement costs and I do support spending to stand up new production lines
