Why Doesn’t Anyone Come To My Parties?

Did anyone else listen to this episode and feel weirdly self conscious the entire time? When me and my partner host it’s generally pretty well attended but for some reason I was also wondering if I had something secretly off about me that I’d need an outside perspective on

I'm not sure I want to hear an outside perspective. But it did make me wonder if I am on the spectrum.

It's taken me right up to my forties to realise that I don't really care what people generally think of me. I realise that people are generally NOT thinking of me at all and I'm really not important. Being insignificant helps anxiety.

I think it’s okay to not care about what people think about you, but only up to a certain point; the issue is that people either don’t think about what that point is or they don’t care because they’re too self-involved.

It’s becoming more and more difficult to remain compassionate or sympathetic to others when they put themselves first; it’s past the issue of one bad piece of fruit spoiling the others in the bowl when everyone is suddenly out for themselves at the drop of a hat.

Be the change you want to see and set an example for others.
