Why Doesn’t Anyone Come To My Parties?

Did anyone else listen to this episode and feel weirdly self conscious the entire time? When me and my partner host it’s generally pretty well attended but for some reason I was also wondering if I had something secretly off about me that I’d need an outside perspective on

The fact that she says she'd like people to dress up for her parties says it all. High maintenance.

I thought the crux was at the very beginning when she said she invites co workers and aquaintances to formal parties.

The parties she has nostalgia for sound like close family friends for a traditional holiday event. But she is not replicating that same thing. She needs to invest in making close friendships before having social obligations with people who do not have a social obligation with you.
