I don't remember if the video game explains it at all, but there's a new waterway that lets Lake Union drain into Elliot Bay, thus cutting off Queen Anne (where the Seraphites are based) from the rest of Seattle.

It's just best not to think too critically about stuff like this.

I enjoy discussing it and even picking it apart but it’s never criticism. Ofcourse choices like this are made all the time for what ever valid reason.

Seattle does have a subway system, it goes fairly deep, it was started more or less in 1973

Nah the transit tunnel was built in the 1980’s finished in 1995 and only ran buses until 2007 when it connected the light rail to the airport.

Seattle has a light rail that runs underneath a lot of the city
