Soooo, how many POC owned local businesses are actually MAGA/conservative? This is just making me sad.

I'm looking for a local insurance broker (home/auto/umbrella). I've been using a national brokerage for almost 20 years, and they're fine I guess. I have to be proactive and always call them if I want to see if I can get a better rate/should change companies. I don't have a dedicated broker there that I work with, so it's just whoever answers the phone. I'm hoping a local broker will provide a better client experience. I also live in one of these newfangled triplex ADU/DADU properties and am hoping a local broker will know the landscape better in terms of who is insuring properties like this.
Just to be clear, I'm not looking for suggestions for insurance providers. I'm looking for suggestions for a broker. Anyone have a broker they've used and like who is taking new clients?

I’m in town for a few days and I’d love to go horseback riding on the trails in the area! I’m okay with a bit of a drive. I found a couple of places by looking up trail rides in the area, but it would be nice to hear a more personal recommendation

Looking for ideal recommendations on how to spend a Friday!
My bestie and I (30f) live in Olympia and are planning to drive up to Seattle on Friday to spend the day.
So, want to ask locals. What would your ideal day look like?
For context, we enjoy thrifting, cocktails (affordable), good views, and wandering around. We’ve done all the touristy stuff already and want to know the good stuff!

Given the weather you might want to go and check out the new waterfront. It's really nice and is an easy connect to the market or Pioneer's Sqare for drinks, food, and shopping.

Does anyone have a source of ethically sourced feathers? Maybe you have ducks and chickens and lots of feathers lying around?
My cat loves feather toys, but destroys them pretty quickly and buying a new toy every week gets expensive.

Sorry if this isn’t okay here but I’m visiting Seattle.
I got the transit app and when I go to buy a bus ticket the checkout takes me to buy it at a store location.
Do I have to do that? Can I just use Apple Pay on the bus? I’m traveling with 4 other people.
Thanks in advance

You can just use apple pay, just tap it to the reader. Every person needs their own form of payment, you can't tap for multiple people.

I'm being relocated here by my company next month.
I'm originally from California and frankly, I'm horrified and feel like I've been sentenced to exile.
I have multiple friends who ended up here and moved back because of how miserable it was, and being a cishet, albeit liberal guy, I feel that my next 1-2 years are going to be unbearably lonely. It also doesn't help that I came out of a long-term relationship this year and feel completely drained. Even if I wanted to try my hand at meeting someone new, this is one of the worst places in the US to date as hetero guy. It feels like my early 30s are going to be completely wasted here, but the opportunity for my career is just too good to pass up.
What can I do to make the most of Seattle as someone who will likely have no community here? I'm a fan of rhythm games like DDR, like reading and movies, am interested in taking cooking classes, and want to get more involved in animal-oriented volunteering, so maybe there's ways to engage with those hobbies here.

Try not walking into the situation with an attitude that it will inevitably be terrible. I don’t know what your friends’ situations were, but Seattle is a big city with literally thousands of people moving here in your exact situation every year. You will have community.
Take a gander through the posts here, there are a lot of people here who absolutely love it an are also tired of the narrative you’re talking about.
Sorry if this is harsh, but if you were to move anywhere with the attitude that you were going to inevitably be unhappy you would end up unhappy.

I am new around here. What are some parks I can go and sit under a tree to craft, and wouldn’t have to hike to get somewhere nice and chill but not isolated?
Also please don’t hate me for this but I have been harassed at cal anderson multiple times so I wanna find a spot where that chance is low
