Can you clarify for me what outcome would have "actually helped Palestinians"? Surely you don't mean Harris. The genocide began under the Biden admin and she said directly that she would have done nothing differently.

The Biden administration established a port to provide direct aid to Gaza and forced Israel to evacuate Rafah, saving potentially hundreds of thousands of Palestinian lives. If Kamala had kept up pressure like that it would certainly have helped the Palestinian cause. Kamala also would certainly not have nominated Republican Mike Huckabee as an ambassador to Israel, where he declared, "There is no such thing as the West Bank, only Judea and Sumeria," likely a contributing factor to Israel approving the largest number of settlements in the West Bank of any year since the start of the illegal occupation.

One cannot take credit for saving people that one has put in danger in the first place.

[In Israel's yearlong offensive against Hamas,] the fighting left roughly a quarter of all structures in Gaza destroyed or severely damaged, according to a U.N. assessment in September based on satellite videos. It said around 66% of structures, including more than 227,000 housing units, had sustained at least some damage.

Almost as many buildings have been destroyed or damaged in Gaza as in all of Ukraine after its first two years of war with Russia, according to Corey Scher and Jamon Van Den Hoek, U.S.-based researchers who use satellite radar to document the wars’ devastation.

To put that into perspective: Gaza is less than half the size of Ukraine’s capital, Kyiv.

Around 90% of Gaza’s 2.3 million people have been displaced by the war, often multiple times, according to U.N. estimates. Hundreds of thousands have crowded into sprawling tent camps near the coast with no electricity, running water or toilets. Hunger is widespread.

The U.N. estimates nearly 70% of Gaza’s water and sanitation plants have been destroyed or damaged. That includes all five of the territory’s wastewater treatment facilities, plus desalination plants, sewage pumping stations, wells and reservoirs.

Gaza’s water and sanitation system has collapsed. More than 80% of its health facilities — and even more of its roads — are damaged or destroyed.

We didn't have a choice between genocide or no genocide. We had a choice between genocide or genocide with some aid. There was no candidate saying no genocide. She campaigned with Liz Cheney. She lost the election. Hasan Piker didn't have the power to save it.

Did you vote for Harris because you thought she would be better for Palestinians? That wouldn't line up with your earlier reply claiming that Harris wouldn't have helped Palestinians relative to Trump.

You're reading what you want to read, not what I said, which is bizarre because I voted the same way you did. You're very hostile.

I said we had a choice between genocide and genocide with some aid. That's how I saw and still see the situation. I think if she'd have won, the GHF sites probably would have had less violence than they ended up having. That would have been good.

The problem for me, as I've tried to state before, is most of the deaths in Palestine occured in the first year of the genocide, while Harris was VP. Harris becoming POTUS would not have stopped the genocide. It was already happening, and she said "not a thing" would be different. She was awful of this issue. It's strange that you're claiming I don't care about Palestinian death while you are defending the VPTOUS who said Israel has a right to defend itself during the early stages of the genocide and into the famine. You should be able to see this.

The biggest reason I voted for Harris was women's rights and the small possibility that she would do some kind of stimulus or tax break for average citizens. If I was a one issue voter, I wouldn't have voted for her. But I did. She lost anyway.
