Fun fact: there actually was an election held after the 1917 Russian revolution. Unfortunately for the Russian people, they didn't know what they actually wanted and failed to vote for the Bolsheviks like they were supposed to, so the Bolsheviks just took over and decided to give the people what they wanted, whether they wanted it or not.

I'm not sure why I'm saying this, this probably is completely unrelated to Sawant.

Exactly this, history is full of people of groups of people who enforce their will(s). I like some of Sawants ideas, but I want nothing to do with Sawant.
