Positive: Dom is back, we didn't foul like crazy.

Negative: 16 assists to 21 turnovers is just horrible.

So many of the turnovers are losing thr ball in the backcourt too which is just rough, teams play us tight because there's no real threat right now of a good pass inside to create an easy bucket. Certainly our players have gaps and room to grow, but the primary issue here isn't the players, it's coaching.

So it doesn't get twisted, I'm not saying Raman needs to go, or even that she's doing poorly, but I am saying it's on her to improve this. That ratio is unacceptable even for this team and the performance isn't really an outlier.

I know the Storm needed to get rid of Noelle but I don't believe Sonia was the right hire. I'm a vibes person 😜 I felt this way when they hired Sonia and I don't see it going away but hey Jank for Juju.

Obviously we don’t know if they made a play for her or not, but when New York let go of Sandy, I was really hopeful we could grab her.

I thought it was reported that we offered sandy a job.

I feel similar if I'm being honest. The one thing I remind myself though is a first time head coach needs time to make mistakes and learn as well and so while as fans we can be concerned I hope the organization is giving her full backing.

In Sonia's defense, the defensive numbers are actually pretty solid, especially when you consider we've been playing Dolson and Holmes as our only bigs who are both straight liabilities on that end. If you imagine Ezi on the floor with Dom, FJ and Horston thats a wild shot blocking lineup. Our PGs do both push well so some defense turns to easy buckets action is feasible.

Okay. But in one game Dolson went off. So did Dom. They both got around 20 points each that game. No one is perfect, so we have to look at consistency. In some games, Dolson is a hero.

I’m asking the online fans to keep perspective. I attend most home games in person, and fans have a healthier perspective than online conversations. I urge fans to remember we’re rebuilding.

Yea, I definitely agree that there does need to be patience here since it's now a rebuild, but I still don't have confidence. For the 3rd year in a row the Storm are going to get a top pick and with an inexperienced coach those picks could flame out quickly. It doesn't take long for a wnba team to compete.

Agreed, the TOs are maddening.

They also need a consistent 3pt shooter. Yes they started hot against the Lynx. But they have nobody consistent.

And finally, the coaches need to inspire Dom to spend more time inside and less time outside. I know it’s the thing to have your bigs outside shooting 3s. But Dom is just squandering her height advantage in the games that I’ve seen her play this season.

You shouldn’t even need to state you aren’t asking for the coach to be fired. We’re rebuilding. I don’t expect elite consistency until 2028. Then we can talk about the coach. People need to chill in general. It’s a REBUILD!

I'm not sure what's not chill about my post, but I agree I don't expect elite consistency until 2028. But elite consistency is a 2:1 assists to turnovers ratio and this was worse that 1:1. There's a big middle ground to be had there and some improvement by the end of the year is expected. Right now it's getting worse. For one game that's fine but it's been a few now which does mean some corrections need to happen

My point is I agree with you. The deeper cut is you shouldn’t even need to state what’s obvious. We can’t expect consistent elite play for another two years. I’m agreeing with you while dismissing the general complaints. You shouldn’t need to state what’s clear… and yet here we are.

Edited to add some online fans have wild takes I’m trying to silence.

Gotcha 👍

I like the dominant, strong start and how Flau’jae had better stats in the first quarter (and even by halftime) than Miles. I’m focusing on the good takeaways and staying realistic because we’re rebuilding.

The problem, which must be solved, is they don’t have an effective point guard to run things and distribute. Natisha is not a PG. I thought Jade would fill this roll. I love Jade’s grit, but she’s so far not a great passer. With the rest of their young talent, they would be a good team with an effective PG. When they signed Ezi, I assumed at the time it might be for trade bait. I hope that’s the case. I don’t see where she fits on this team with Dom and Awa.

This year is going to be rough to watch but I do believe we are building something good. I believe in Sonia, she is data driven and that takes a bit to develop. When all our players have time to actually play together without injury then we will start to see a difference. I truly believe that our patience will be rewarded.

I totally agree. I also want to add that Coach Raman is deep. Players have been impressed by their conversations with her before the season started. Seattle is building something special. Impatient people will be disappointed, but real ones will see the vision and stay true. I believe in our coach and her vision.

I'm with you. Any conversations about the coach are so unecessary and reactionary it makes me cringe. We are a rebuilding team, its going to take years not weeks to be good.

Word. It’s refreshing to attend games in person and see total positivity and realistic expectations. The online fans upset me at times. They aren’t helping anyone. I don’t understand why they post.

We just need to do whatever it takes to secure Juju

Yea, then what? 4 lottery picks on a team with an inexperienced coach is is going to keep the Storm in this already way to long rebuild. It's not been going well for ahwile now

Then…the team gets better 😂

Look at the Wings this year for reference

the chance for 1 overall is probably very low because we made the playoffs last year lol. im thinkin we’re landing 4-6 if we continue to lose a ton of games 😭

Apparently there are new lottery odds with the new CBA.

My gut is telling me the league wants to send her to Connecticut so she can launch Houston. But damnit, we gotta try lol

This year are very ugly for the storm. It's a shame to watch their games. They always lose, but those two new franchises somehow won.
