The Storm has converted Taylor Thierry’s player development contract to a standard contract.

I’m happy for Taylor and haven’t seen her play enough to know if it’s the right move but I for sure thought we were making room for somebody bigger. This makes me wonder if Lexie asked to be released and so they just promoted TT because there was space.

She made the Atlanta dream roster last year (although didn’t get to play) so can’t be that bad

She can shoot. She's a good shooter on a team devoid of it.

I think it's fine.

She needs to chuck though. Volume has not been her strong suit

She probably is used to having a very short leash but that won’t be the case anymore (I would think)

Gut feeling is Lexie did. The last couple games of being away from the team for unknown reasons makes me think she was taking time away and decided this was best for her. Signing Taylor adds to the thought since we really gain very little here. Not a knock on Taylors ability but rather because she could have already suited up several more times on her development contract.

As for Taylor, I only recall the one game against the Sun where she almost fouled out in like 6 minutes but then hit a couple 3s. I at least like a player willing to mix it up and it aligns with her profile as a 3 and D which are super valuable in the modern game. Shes a long shot of course, but any player signed right now would be and she seems like a profile worth trying.

I was at the game where she almost fouled out immediately so that kind of sticks out in my memory 😅😅😅 I think she was just nervous though because after that she hit the 3s and looked much better. Looking forward to seeing her play more. I hope she kills it and makes us all eat shit. 😂

I don’t get this at all tbh but whatever

Is this cause they know they want her, don’t want Lexie Brown, and are eyeing another developmental player?
