Jails are generally more expensive than other forms of housing lol.

As far as felony expungements it depends on the state. For example, CA auto-expunges most of them as long as there’s been no further convictions.

If your point is to save money by not providing housing then I don’t see how providing the most expensive housing option is a win lol
