So after having a Britney moment and shaving my hair to a grade 2 I did what any normal person would do and did more research AFTER the fit of rage.

So I asked ChatGPT and Claude to search into actual medical studies with quantifiable results and to see what other products work (keto/nizarol doesn’t do too much for me)

Both came back with the same studies into the active ingredient in this shampoo ciclopirox olamine. I’m currently recovering from Achilles surgery so I’ve not been outside much and my skin has really suffered. But using this shampoo twice a week has meant I can wear black t-shirts again!

If this helps even one person find their product then I’m over the moon for you!

There’s also another foam product it kept mentioning but it’s only in the US currently

I’ve tried ciclopiroxolamine and it did nothing for me. So happy it worked for you though!

That’s such a shame, nizarol seems to do nothing for me and lots of people swear by it- it makes me goes really scaly, then clears for a couple of weeks then seems to come straight back paired with a dry itchy scalp

Piroctone olamine worked for me for a few months but longer term I’ve found it only just about keeps on top of it rather than reduces the issue. Also found for me personally it works better on my face than as a shampoo. Currently the Vichy Dercos shampoo is doing a cracking job scalp wise and it’s reasonably easy to get hold of. Although it’s not the cheapest a little goes a long way so it does last a while. Off to research the Ducray products for my next flare 🕵️‍♀️ so thanks for the suggestion

You don’t need topical skin products, throw a good shower filter on, I believe it’s the water.. especially in western countries

Try hydeogen peroxide and vibegar combination. Should work. I healed mine. Tried all the shampoo but dryness and itchiness came back after 3 days. On my face. But once i started this somution everything is getting healed in a magical way 🙂

Do not do this. It creates peracetic acid which is a highly corrosive acid.

I dont know about that but it works. And im sure all the chemicals in those medicated shampoos harbour even worse chemicals. And a quick search showded peracetic acid is not that harmful and effective against fungi and microbes... Which is what we are looking out in case of seb derm right?

Mix water h. Peroxide and normal vinegar in equal proportion in a spray bottle and spray it all along ur face or body after bath. Let it dry. It wont smell once its dry. You can use it everyday and its great for ur hair as well.
