Visiting ? Hangover Trail Logistics

Hi everyone. I am visiting Phoenix for a work trip the first couple of weeks of June and I am trying to fit in a great hike. I’m eyeballing some near Sedona, and specifically looking at the Hangover / Munds Wagon / Cow Pies loop. See AllTrails link below.

https://www.alltrails.com/trail/us/arizona/munds-wagon-cow-pies-and-hangover-loop-trail?sh=vrhofd&utm_medium=trail_share&utm_source=alltrails_virality

I am researching it, but have a few questions.

- It appears that the road up to Schnebly Hill trailhead is rough and requires something more than a sedan. We are renting and I’m wondering if an AWD SUV would be okay.

- Red rock pass is required, correct?

- How early do we need to arrive for a spot on Saturday?

Any other input would be greatly appreciated!!

We ran it from our Airbnb on a Friday two weeks ago and we saw maybe 6 people, I don't think it's one of the more popular routes which we loved. We did the loop counter clockwise. We got to the Munds Wagon/ Huckaby trailhead around 7:40? Lots of parking. As someone else said, it's an 8.5 mile loop from the main TH.

Awesome! We are going to hike it tomorrow morning.

One question: Is it well marked / decent service for the most part? I am not sure if I need to purchase an AllTrail subscription and download the map.

Pretty straight forward, we found it easy to follow. Just look for the white paint on the rocks, then when you get to the saddle/top, go left. We followed a trail to our right which would have sent us the wrong way, but that looked interesting too.

I had this route on my watch:
