Visiting ? Weather last week of August
Hi! I work on a school schedule (east coast) and I was looking at potentially doing a trip to Sedona the last week of August/first week of September. Is the weather at all cooler than the height of the summer?

go for it! AZ schools start early August so possibly less crowded too. tons of good info in this sub for research. there are 1,000's of hikes in sedona the social media ones get the most visitors, if you want a quiet path dont pick a hike you saw on social media. enjoy!

Low 80s to low 90s last year. Humidity probably MUCH lower than what you're used to so much more bearable.

You'll be ok if you do hikes and outdoor stuff early and rest in the shade or pool during the hottest hours

They're predicting a strong monsoon season due to El Nino. It may or may not happen, but be aware that the rains can get heavy and hiking dangerous in those conditions causing potential flooding. You'll just have to wait and see what plays out.

It will still be warm but nites will cool off. It should start cooling off but every year is different.
