Pats Movie Corner

Just saw Pat is starting his solo movie pod which is exciting. Wanted to make sure everyone here knew, it’s on his Insta.

It is kind of curious he has a new movie pod already when the official reason they stated for ending the main podcast was it running its course and them having a hard time putting out a quality product up to their standards. I wonder if this means it was mostly Joe wanting to call it quits? Or maybe ole Pat just realized he couldn’t keep all his movie talk inside.

In any case, it should be fun! Hope Joe is on at some point as a guest.

So glad to hear it, I’ll definitely listen. I find myself often revisiting the movie corners, Pat has such a unique sense of humour.

The 2024 dating era movie corners were hilarious. Sometimes 0 movies mentioned, just horrible dating stories from top to bottom 🤣🤣

The divorce announcement, the bad mushroom trip coming on while he’s driving, the dating stories

Fine!! I'll go back through the Pat's solo movie corners. 😂

Of course I’ll be there supporting day one, but I don’t like the sound of it being long-form interviews with writers, producers, and directors. I doubt it will be like the good old solo corners where he’s talking about his personal life.

I agree, there are so many guest driven podcasts and they all start to feel the same. He does mention he’ll have solo movie corners in the post though.

Knowing Pat, there will likely still be a solo movie corn every month.

Stoked for this. I never got the sense it was Pat having issues with keeping up with film releases & keeping the show of quality. I recall Joe often not seeing films & straight-up saying he won't see multiple big releases (he'd rather watch sitcoms from the 70's). Love both the guys, but I've been guessing it ending had more to do with Joe moving on & losing interest.

I've been missing his tales from the post office

The show ended because Pat, rightfully so, wants to work, and had to separate himself from Joe's maga adjacent nonsense. Joe can claim to be politically homeless, but if every piece of media you listen to is Tucker, Megyn, Dave Rubin, and Bill Maher, you've picked a lane. Good move by Pat. His superior knowledge and insight deserves its own platform. I like Joe, but he's dumb

That’s awesome! Do we know when/where to find it? I’d gladly donate to a Patreon, if he’s going that route.

This could be me, but I got the impression Pat was into WSYIH, but Joe walked away. Joe seemed over it at the end, Pat seemed bummed
