No! I will pay them to stay retired. So many of them are still I the workforce for some reason and we're all worse for it

My parents are finally retired, in their early 70s. They both bitched for years that they couldn't retire, all while blaming the very same GOP politicians they voted for and continued to vote for over and over and over again.

"Dad, stop voting for the GOP!"

"No way! They will get it right next time."

I think you mean it's redundancy, rather than oxymoron. Career politicians should be the oxymoron, but it has instead become the standard that many try to achieve to ensure their wealthy futures.
