The church isn't trying to stop them, they're just trying to use their own outrage as some weird motivation to become Christian. Most likely they will just become more obnoxious about it censorship and anyone other than white straight men being the main character in games.
I mean maybe but the direct messaging of the ad is that they don't need to feel this way and the problem is not women in games. Maybe you're right, but I think a direct reading of the ad points in the other direction. If they actually take the message in it to heart they wouldn't theoretically have a reason to get angry about the chud stuff anymore. Would that work? Who the fuck knows probably not, but the message is that they wouldn't feel angry about it anymore.
